North Jersey&#8217;s <strong>Sarah Rodrigues<\/strong> was third in 53.12.<\/p>\n<p>It wasn&#8217;t the only YMCA meet record to go down.<\/p>\n<p>Lynchburg&#8217;s <strong>Brendan Whitfield<\/strong> won the men&#8217;s 200 free in 1:33.96, breaking the YMCA championship record of 1:34.15 set by <strong>Brendan Burns<\/strong> in 2019. Rock River&#8217;s <strong>Camden Taylor<\/strong> was second (1:37.16), followed by Piedmont&#8217;s<strong> Will Browne<\/strong> (1:37.75).<\/p>\n<p>Schroeder&#8217;s <strong>Emma Lemler, Tori Brostowitz, Alana Berlin<\/strong> and <strong>Lucy Art<\/strong> won the 200 medley relay in 1:39.08, breaking the YMCA meet record set last year by Piedmont (1:40.62).<\/p>\n<p>The meet was full of other fast swims as well.<\/p>\n<p>In the men&#8217;s 100 backstroke, 17-year-old <strong>Daniel Diehl<\/strong>, of Cumberland, Maryland, won the event in 46.47. Schroeder&#8217;s<strong> Sam Lorenz<\/strong> was second (47.20), followed by Fanwood Scotch&#8217;s <strong>Roman<\/strong> <strong>Jones<\/strong> (47.47).<\/p>\n<p>Somerset&#8217;s <strong>Emily Thompson<\/strong> won the women&#8217;s 400 IM in 4:09.05 ahead of Spartanburg&#8217;s <strong>Hayden Penny<\/strong> (4:13.10) and Western Connecticut&#8217;s <strong>Olivia Herbert<\/strong> (4:18.18).<\/p>\n<p>Piedmont&#8217;s <strong>David King<\/strong> won the men&#8217;s 400 IM in 3:48.56, to hold off Schroeder&#8217;s <strong>Isaac Fleig<\/strong> (3:50.58) and Boise&#8217;s <strong>Tyler Quarterman<\/strong> (3:53.21).<\/p>\n<p>In the women&#8217;s 200 free, Somerset&#8217;s<strong> Anna Moesch<\/strong> got to the wall first in 1:45.38.
