She lowered it in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/summer-mcintosh-breaks-world-junior-record-in-200-butterfly-in-fort-lauderdale\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">March at the TYR Pro Swim Series to 2:05.05<\/a>, then sliced another three tenths off Friday night at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre. McIntosh\u2019s splits:<\/p>\n<pre>21 McIntosh, Summe  06 UNCAN\/SYS-FL      2:09.52    2:04.70n  932  \r\n    r:+0.77  27.41        58.76 (31.35)\r\n        1:31.40 (32.64)     2:04.70 (33.30)<\/pre>\n<p>It\u2019s been a busy week for the Toronto-born wunderkind. She set her first <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/flash-summer-mcintosh-takes-down-400-freestyle-world-record-with-356-06\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">senior world record in the 400 free on Tuesday night<\/a>, then lowered her national record in the 200 individual medley to 2:06.89 on Thursday night. She still has the 400 IM and 200 free remaining at the meet, which will help form a Canadian team for the World Championships and beyond this summer. McIntosh is through three of her five events.<\/p>\n<p>McIntosh won the race by more than six seconds. He\u2019s just outside his national record in the event (1:54.49, set at the TYR Pro Swim Series this month) but well under the FINA cut. He was nearly five seconds up on runner-up <strong>Patrick Hussey.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Canada is without an automatic qualifier in the 100 free after <strong>Maggie MacNeil<\/strong> won the event in 54.58. She was well ahead of the runners-up, Mary-<strong>Sophie Harvey<\/strong> and <strong>Brooklyn Douthwright,<\/strong> tied at 55.15. But she was outside the FINA A cut of 54.25.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hannah Henderson<\/strong> snuck into the picture in fourth in 55.20, ahead of international relay standbys <strong>Katerine Savard<\/strong> (fifth in 55.22) and <strong>Rebecca Smith <\/strong>(seventh in 55.41).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Josh Liendo<\/strong> won the men\u2019s 100 free in a time of 47.86. That\u2019s .31 off his best time.
