Joshua Liendo Trims 100 Fly National Record for Second Time at Canadian Trials<\/strong><\/p>\n

Joshua Liendo<\/strong> made it two national records in two swims on Wednesday at the Bell Canadian Trials, dropping a night swim of 50.36 in the 100 fly.<\/p>\n

Liendo had started prelims by going 50.78<\/a> at the Toronto Pan-Am Sports Centre to knock a tenth off his national record. He was even faster at night, most of that time gain occurring on the opening 50 meters, where he went out in 23.62. He had been 23.94 in the morning.<\/p>\n

Second was Ilya Kharun,<\/strong> the teen booking his ticket to the World Aquatic Championships this summer with a time of 51.45 seconds. Finlay Knox<\/strong> was third in 52.11.<\/p>\n
