Cal&#8217;s <strong>Bjorn Seeliger<\/strong> and Stanford&#8217;s <strong>Andrei Minakov<\/strong> were the next two and are back this season as well. In fact, seven of the eight finalists from last year are in the field again, adding a close and familiar feel to the event.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/2023-ncaa-division-i-mens-championships\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Meet Page<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/results\/2023-ncaa-division-i-mens-psych-sheet\/ncaa-college\/2023\/March\/8?rtn=%2Fresults%2Fall\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Psych Sheets<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/swimmeetresults.tech\/NCAA-Division-I-Men-2023\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Live Results<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In the first circle-seeded heat, Cal&#8217;s <strong>Jack Alexy<\/strong> used a late burst to pass Florida&#8217;s <strong>Josh Liendo<\/strong>. Alexy finished in 40.88, while Liendo was 41.25.<\/p>\n<p>The second circle-seeded heat saw Tennessee&#8217;s <strong>Jordan Crooks<\/strong> use closing speed to get to the wall in 40.92 just ahead of <strong>Brooks Curry<\/strong> in 41.17.<\/p>\n<p>In the final circle-seeded heat, Virginia Tech&#8217;s<strong> Youssef Ramadan<\/strong>, who won the 100 butterfly on Friday night, used a late burst to win the heat in 41.15. Cal&#8217;s <strong>Bjorn Seeliger<\/strong> was next in 41.17.<\/p>\n<p>Alexy took the top overall seed with a 40.88, followed by Crooks (40.92), Ramadan (41.15), Seeliger and Curry (41.17), Liendo (41.25), Indiana&#8217;s <strong>Van Mathias<\/strong> (41.33) and Ohio State&#8217;s <strong>Ruslan Gaziev<\/strong> (41.34).<\/p>\n<p>Florida&#8217;s <strong>Adam Chaney<\/strong> won his heat with a 41.75 that got him into the B final.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Luke Hobson<\/strong> of Texas, who has won the 200 free and 500 free already this week, was strong from an early heat, along with NC State&#8217;s <strong>Nyls Korstanje,<\/strong> but it wasn&#8217;t quite enough to make the top 16.<\/p>\n<pre><b>Event 17  Men 100 Yard Freestyle<\/b>\r\n==================================================================\r\n         NCAA: N 39.90  3\/24\/2018 Caeleb Dressel, Florida\r\n         Meet: M 39.90  3\/24\/2018 Caeleb Dressel, Florida\r\n     American: A 39.90  3\/24\/2018 Caeleb Dressel, Florida\r\n   U.
