Coming off a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/chinese-teen-wang-haoyu-clocks-sub-48-in-100-freestyle-at-spring-champs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">runnerup finish in the 200-meter individual medley<\/a>, Qin was dominant in the 100 breaststroke, where he registered a time of 58.66. That mark was the sole sub-59 outing in the field, and left <strong>Sun Jiajun<\/strong> (59.00) and <strong>Yan Zibei<\/strong> (59.46) in second and third place.<\/p>\n<p>Li added her second victory in as many days when she prevailed in the 200 freestyle. Already the winner of the 1500 freestyle, Li touched the wall in 1:55.87 for the four-lap event. She was followed in second place by <strong>Liu Yaxin<\/strong> (1:56.18), with third going to <strong>Li<\/strong> <strong>Jiaping<\/strong> (1:5713). Based on her winning efforts, Li appears poised for a big showing in her best event, the 400 freestyle. She is the reigning Olympic bronze medalist in the 400 free and the world-record holder in the short-course version of the event.<\/p>\n<p>The women\u2019s 200 individual medley was won by <strong>Yu Yiting<\/strong>, who fended off veteran and 2012 Olympic champion <strong>Ye Shiwen<\/strong>. Yu posted a swim of 2:09.96, with Ye claiming second place in 2:10.55. Meanwhile, <strong>Wang Changhao<\/strong> won the men\u2019s 50 freestyle in 22.08 and <strong>Wang Gukailai<\/strong> was fastest in the men\u2019s 50 backstroke, going 25.02. In the women\u2019s 50 backstroke, <strong>Wang Xueer<\/strong> (27.79) edged <strong>Chen Jie<\/strong> by .01.<\/p>\n<p><em>Note: A special thanks to the\u00a0<a
