With Nova having built a comfortable lead in the team competition and winning all three women&#8217;s relays so far, Trieschmann&#8217;s victory was the fourth individual win for her team after her own win Wednesday evening plus <strong>May Lowy&#8217;s<\/strong> 400 IM win and <strong>Emilia<\/strong> <strong>Ronningdal&#8217;s<\/strong> wins in both the 200 IM and 200 free.<\/p>\n<p>Wayne State&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jordan Fox<\/strong>, already the runnerup in the 1000 free, took second in 4:50.13 while Azusa Pacific&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Montana White<\/strong> grabbed third in 4:51.54. Curley then built up a two-second lead, which he needed to hold off a blistering 24.75 final split from Buessing.<\/p>\n<p>Curley touched in 4:18.66, about two-thirds of a second clear of Buessing. She blasted the field with a 27.49 split, a half-second quicker than anyone else in the field, and she touched the wall in 53.88, 0.36 ahead of the field.<\/p>\n<p>Nova Southeastern&#8217;s <strong>Mollie Morfelt<\/strong> ended up touching second in 54.24, two hundredths ahead of Drury&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Alexandra Waller\u00a0<\/strong>(54.26). He flipped a tenth ahead of Findlay&#8217;s <strong>Timothy Stollings<\/strong> at the halfway point before extending that advantage. Taylor touched in 45.95, almost four tenths clear of Stollings&#8217; mark of 46.34. Best touched the wall in 1:01.13, almost a half-second ahead of IUP&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Rachel Johnson<\/strong> (1:01.71), while Gass finished third in 1:02.01. Mourao was actually the fifth-fastest qualifier after prelims while Zampese snuck into the final in the eighth spot, but after the entire field turned within three tenths of each other at the halfway point, it was Mourao and Zampese who overtook top qualifiers and early leaders\u00a0<strong>Daniel Garcia<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Filipe Pinheiro<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Findlay&#8217;s Garcia ended up finishing third in 52.87 after he swam a time of 52.73 in prelims while McKendree&#8217;s Pinheiro took fourth in 52.92 after a 52.69 in prelims.
