Photo Giorgio Scala \/ Deepbluemedia \/ Insidefoto\" width=\"350\" height=\"250\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-519090\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Matt Sates: Photo Courtesy: Giorgio Scala \/ Deepbluemedia \/ Insidefoto<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The South African led by 0.08 at halfway before a second 100 of 54.75 propelled him into the wall in 1:47.46 ahead of Zirk who clocked 1:48.60 as the pair repeated their finish from the 400 free.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nils Liess<\/strong> was third in 1:49.59.<\/p>\n<p>Sates returned for the 200IM in which he won the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/world-championships-day-one-mens-finals-matthew-sates-sets-african-record-en-route-to-200im-gold\/\">world short-course title in December<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>He led from start to finish for a dominant win in 1:59.94 with Licon second in 2:02.29.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Louise Hansson\u00a0<\/strong>won double gold, kicking it off with\u00a0a dominant win in the 100 back in 1:00.55.<\/p>\n<p>The Swede returned for the 50 fly, stopping the clock in 25.92 ahead of <strong>Melanie Henique<\/strong> (26.02) and <strong>Farida Osman<\/strong> (26.08).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thomas Ceccon\u00a0<\/strong>completed the same double, splitting 26.09\/27.90 for a 53.99 victory in the 100 back.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Roman Mityukov<\/strong> followed his 200 back title with silver in 54.77 ahead of <strong>Luke Greenbank<\/strong> (55.75).<\/p>\n<p>The Italian returned to take the men&#8217;s 50 fly in 23.13 &#8211; the fifth-fastest time of his career &#8211; and 0.34 outside his Italian record of 22.79.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Noe Ponti<\/strong> was second in 23.34 with <strong>Meiron Cheruti<\/strong> &#8211; winner of the 50 free on Friday &#8211; rounding out the top three in 23.69.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Anna Egorova<\/strong> added the 800 free to the 400 title in 8:39.57 before coming back to the pool for the 200 where she was second behind <strong>Marie Wattel<\/strong>, the Frenchwoman clocking 1:59.19 to 2:00.65.<\/p>\n<p>It was the second win of the meet for Wattel who won the 50 free on the opening day.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Abbie Wood<\/strong> &#8211;
