Derek Maas, Chloe Stepanek Named SEC Scholar-Athletes of the Year<\/strong><\/p>\n

Derek Maas<\/strong> of Alabama and Texas A&M\u2019s Chloe Stepanek<\/strong> were named 2023 SEC Scholar-Athletes of the Year on Friday<\/a>, in conjunction with the conference championship meet.<\/p>\n

Maas is a graduate student in Tuscaloosa, having completed his undergraduate degree in biology and pursuing his master\u2019s degree in business administration. The native of Holland, Mich., has maintained a 4.0 grade point average in both course of study. He was twice named to the CSCAA Scholar-American team and the CoSIDA Academic All-American team. He is a three-time member of the Winter SEC Academic Honor Roll.<\/p>\n
