The Badgers won 14 events, including four by seniors during UW&#8217;s Senior Night celebration.<\/p>\n<p>Four Badger seniors won events on Friday, including double-event winners<strong> Wes Jekel<\/strong> and <strong>Ben<\/strong> <strong>Wiegand<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Jekel won 200 back in 1 minutes, 43.73 seconds while Wiegand claimed the 100 free in 44.21. The Badgers swept the top-three places in the 100 free behind Wiegand. Senior <strong>Constantin Bensch<\/strong> finished second in 44.39 while senior <strong>Ryan Zelen<\/strong> took third in 45.51.<\/p>\n<p>Jekel, Wiegand and Bensch also teamed with fellow senior <strong>Will Myhre<\/strong> to win the 200 free relay in 1:24.54.<\/p>\n<p>Other senior winners were <strong>Drew Nixdorf<\/strong> in the 100 back in 48.43 and <strong>Jack Leuthold<\/strong> in the 500 free in 4:36.22.<\/p>\n<p>Junior <strong>Daniel Muller<\/strong> won the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events for UW. The Badgers swept the 1-meter board with Muller leading the way with 367.88. <strong>Jan Lanser<\/strong> took second with 337.80 points and <strong>Sebastian Lawrence<\/strong> taking third with 325.73 points. Muller also claimed the 3-meter board with 339.15 points.<\/p>\n<p>Wisconsin freshman <strong>Dominik Mark Torok<\/strong> continued his win streak, earning an individual win for the fourth-straight meet. Torok, who recently picked up Big Ten Freshman of the Week accolades, won the 200 breast in 1:58.55.<\/p>\n<p>Junior <strong>Jake Newmark<\/strong> also continued his individual winning streak in the freestyle, hitting the wall first in the 1000 free in 10:10.84.<\/p>\n<p>Wisconsin swept the freestyle events with<strong> Isaac Casey-Hrenak<\/strong> touching first in the 50 free in 20.49. Myhre finished second in 20.59 and Zelen took third in 20.62.<\/p>\n<p>Sophomore<strong> Yigit Aslan<\/strong> led a 1-2-3 sweep in the 200 free, winning in 1:36.74. <strong>Andrew Benson<\/strong> finished second in 1:38.69 while <strong>Jude Williams<\/strong> took third in 1:40.32.<\/p>\n<p>Wisconsin freshman<strong> Charlie Jones<\/strong> won the 200 fly in 1:51.69 while sophomore<strong> Matthew Segal<\/strong> was the victor in the 200 IM in 1:50.67.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/category\/college\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">More College News<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>WOMEN&#8217;S MEET<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The 17th-ranked Wisconsin women&#8217;s swimming and diving team celebrated Senior Day in dominating fashion, winning 14 events to defeat Green Bay, 192-95, on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Four Wisconsin seniors claimed event wins on the day, including double-event winner <strong>Kit Greenberg<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Greenberg wrapped up her home career with wins in the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events. The senior from Tarrytown, New York, led a 1-2-3 sweep for the Badgers on the 3-meter board. Greenberg won with 277.13 points while <strong>Molly Hampton<\/strong> finished second with 265.58 points and <strong>Yasmin Hill<\/strong> took third with 250.73 points.<\/p>\n<p>Wisconsin also claimed the top-three spots on the 1-meter board with the senior tallying 265.50 points for the win. Hill finished second with 248.63 points and Hampton took third with 236.48 points.<\/p>\n<p>Three other seniors won events as <strong>Mikayla Seiga<\/strong>l led UW to a 1-2 finish in the 200 butterfly. Seigal touch in 2 minutes, 1.95 seconds while freshman Blair Stoneburg finished second in 2:04.82.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Elizabeth Moore<\/strong> won the 200 breaststroke in 2:15.22 as the Badgers claimed the top-three places. <strong>Alex Anagnostopoulos<\/strong> took second in 2:22.35 while<strong> Natalie Bercutt<\/strong> was third in 2:24.08.<\/p>\n<p>Wisconsin senior <strong>Mallory Jump<\/strong> also won her final event in the Soderholm Family Aquatic Center, touching first in the 200 individual medley in 2:01.75. It was another Badger sweep as junior <strong>Phoebe Bacon<\/strong> took second in 2:01.78 while freshman <strong>Hazal Ozkan<\/strong> finished third in 2:04.38.<br \/>\nOther event winners<\/p>\n<p>Wisconsin&#8217;s underclassmen claimed nine other events.<\/p>\n<p>The Badgers swept the freestyle event as freshman <strong>Regan Miller<\/strong> won the 50 free in 23.69. Wisconsin sophomore <strong>Sophie Fiske<\/strong> touched in 52.33 for the win in the 100 free while Miller was a close second in 52.41.<\/p>\n<p>Sophomore<strong> Mackenzie McConagh<\/strong>a claimed the 200 free in 1:50.52 while sophomore <strong>Paige McKenna<\/strong> finished second in 1:53.77.
