The women beat Emory 172-105 with\u00a0<strong>Zoie Hartman<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Elizabeth Isakson<\/strong> winning two events each while\u00a0<strong>Jake Magahey\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Bradley Dunham<\/strong> were at the center of the Georgia men&#8217;s 175-94 victory.<\/p>\n<p>Hartman, best known for her abilities in the breaststroke and IM events, won the 200 freestyle (1:48.02) and 200 backstroke (1:58.65) while Isakson got the job done in the 100 breast (1:02.38) and 200 breast (2:16.72). The team of\u00a0<strong>Eboni McCarty<\/strong>, Isakson,\u00a0<strong>Marie Schobel\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Callie Dickinson\u00a0<\/strong>won the 200 medley relay in 1:40.78, while\u00a0<strong>Julianna Stephens<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Sloane Reinstein<\/strong>, Hartman and McCarty went 1:31.73 for the win in the 200 free relay.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/category\/college\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>College swimming news<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>On the men&#8217;s side, Magahey went 15:00.03 in the 1650 free to finish just ahead of teammate\u00a0<strong>Tommy-Lee Camblong<\/strong> (15:00.66), and he later won the 200 back (1:43.19). Dunham took the 200 free (1:34.18) and 100 butterfly (47.08), and he led off the 200 medley relay team also including\u00a0<strong>Kris Pitshugin<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Wesley Ng<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Dillon Downing<\/strong> that won the race in 1:26.55. Downing,\u00a0<strong>Zach Hils<\/strong>, Dunham and\u00a0<strong>Charlie Logan<\/strong> took the 200 free relay (1:20.19).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/sidearm.sites\/georgiadogs.com\/documents\/2023\/1\/28\/10_Emory.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Full results are available here<\/a>, and read the full press release from Georgia below:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>On an emotional day full of strong performances, the University of Georgia swimming and diving teams swept Emory Saturday afternoon at Gabrielsen Natatorium.<\/p>\n<p>In the women&#8217;s competition, the 15th-ranked Bulldogs (7-3, 2-3 SEC) defeated DIII No. 2 Emory, 172-105, while the No. 11 Georgia men (8-2, 4-1 SEC) bested the No. 1 Eagles, 175-94 to complete the dual season.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Women \u2013 No. 15 Georgia 172, DIII No. 2 Emory 105<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Georgia earned 13 wins on its way to a decisive victory, including two from senior <strong>Zoie Hartman<\/strong> in non-traditional events. Hartman took first in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:48.02, followed by a victorious time of 1:58.65 in the 200 backstroke. She also swam the third leg of the Bulldogs&#8217; first-place 200 freestyle relay. Graduate <strong>Marie Schobel<\/strong> also celebrated Senior Day with a winning 55.19 in the 100 butterfly. Schobel also swam the butterfly leg of the winning 200 medley relay at the beginning of the meet.<\/p>\n<p>Freshman <strong>Elizabeth Isakson<\/strong> swept both breaststroke events, while fellow freshman <strong>Olivia Della Torre<\/strong> earned her first collegiate win in the 200 IM with a time of 2:03.30. Sophomore <strong>Dun\u00e9 Coetzee<\/strong> earned a B-cut in the 1650 freestyle with a time of 16:03.09, while fellow sophomore <strong>Rachel Stege<\/strong> picked up a provisional cut in the 500 freestyle with a winning time of 4:47.03. Two other sophomores, <strong>Eboni McCarty<\/strong> and <strong>Mia<\/strong> <strong>Abruzzo<\/strong>, also earned wins in the 100 backstroke and 200 butterfly, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>At the diving well, junior <strong>Meghan Wenzel<\/strong> posted a pair of wins with personal-best scores, starting with a mark of 293.93 on platform. Wenzel then set a new top mark on 1-meter with a score of 338.03, while freshman <strong>Hannah Stumpf<\/strong> also set a PB with a second-place score of 310.80. Fellow freshman <strong>Kyler Dixon<\/strong> also set a PB at 258.83.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s pretty emotional for me because I have seen the growth of the seniors and the leaders on the team,&#8221; Tom Cousins Swimming &amp; Diving Head Coach <strong>Stefanie Williams Moreno<\/strong> said following the meet. &#8220;Now, our focus shifts to the SEC Championships. We&#8217;ve been fine tuning the last couple of weeks, but we&#8217;ll really need to nail that laser focus, enthusiasm and excitement the next two weeks as we go to College Station for SECs. Really today was just for the seniors to have a great time.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Men \u2013 No. 11 Georgia 175, DIII No. 1 Emory 94<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Senior <strong>Bradley Dunham<\/strong> finished his home career in style with two wins in the 200 freestyle and 100 butterfly. Dunham first prevailed with a B-cut of 1:34.18 in the 200 free, followed by another B-cut of 47.08 in the 100 fly. Dunham also swam on both winning relays, leading off the 200 medley relay with a split of 22.18 on the 50 backstroke. Fellow seniors <strong>Zach Franklin<\/strong> and <strong>Charlie Logan<\/strong> also earned wins, with Franklin winning in the 100 backstroke with a time of 47.80 and Logan taking the 500 freestyle at 4:26.10.<\/p>\n<p>Junior <strong>Jake Magahey<\/strong> posted a B-cut of 15:00.03 on the 1650 freestyle, followed by a winning B-cut of 1:43.19 in the 200 backstroke. In the mile, fellow junior <strong>Tommy-Lee Camblong<\/strong> dropped a season-best B-cut of 15:00.86. In the 100 freestyle, sophomore <strong>Reese<\/strong> <strong>Branzell<\/strong> picked up his first victory of the season with a B-cut of 43.30, while in the 100 breaststroke, freshman <strong>Kristian Pitshugin<\/strong> won at 54.24. A trio of Bulldogs won their first collegiate events: sophomore <strong>TJ Pittenger<\/strong> in the 50 freestyle (20.81), <strong>Tyler Schroeder<\/strong> in the 200 butterfly (1:46.60), and <strong>Sam Powe<\/strong> in the 200 IM (1:47.06).<\/p>\n<p>In diving, graduate <strong>Kevin Li<\/strong> posted a pair of wins with season-best marks in both events. Li took first on 1-meter with a score of 375.83, followed by a score of 361.50 on 3-meter. Elsewhere on 1-meter, sophomore <strong>Allen Mann<\/strong> qualified for Zones in the event with a score of 314.03.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It was an exceptional group performance,&#8221; Men&#8217;s Swimming &amp; Diving Head Coach <strong>Neil Versfeld<\/strong> said following the meet. &#8220;The guys really stepped up. We had a few guys in suits trying to see where they are leading into the conference meet.
