The No. 7 Indiana men claimed a 193-107 decision.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/results\/indiana-vs-louisville\/ncaa-college\/2023\/January\/27?rtn=%2Fresults%2F\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Meet Results<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/big-ten-swimming\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Big Ten Swimming<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/acc-swimming\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ACC Swimming<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In the final dual meet of the season, the senior Burns took down the Ralph Wright Natatorium record in the 200 fly. His time of 1:43.28 displaced former Louisville All-American <strong>Nicolas Albiero,<\/strong> who set a mark of 1:44.00 in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Indiana also set a pair of diving pool records. <strong>Andrew Capobianco<\/strong> set a pool mark on 1-meter diving with a score of 418.65. That was 32 points better than the Wright record that had stood since 2014 in the hands of <strong>Devin Burnett.<\/strong> It also led a Hoosier 1-2-3 that was so overpowering that <strong>Che Stephens\u2019<\/strong> Louisville program record of 342.00 was good only for fourth place.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Carson Tyler\u2019s<\/strong> name is on the scoreboard as the 3-meter record-holder, posting a score of 431.40. It erases the 12-year-old standard set by Ryan Helms at 399.25, a figure that runner-up <strong>Quinn Henninger<\/strong> (400.35) also bested. Capobianco finished third.<\/p>\n<p>Burns also won the 200 backstroke in a time of 1:44.95, then claimed the 100 fly in 46.19.<\/p>\n<p>The men\u2019s sprint events were indicative of the general quality on display. Louisville\u2019s <strong>Haridi Sameh<\/strong> went 19.73 to win the 50 freestyle, edging Indiana\u2019s <strong>Van Mathias<\/strong> by .04 seconds. Mathias got his revenge in the 100 by going 43.60, with teammate <strong>Rafael Miroslaw<\/strong> second in 43.63 and Sameh third in 43.66.<\/p>\n<p>Indiana\u2019s 200 individual medley contingent showed its dominance, though the meet was well in hand by then. <strong>Luke Barr<\/strong> got the win in 1:46.22. Second was <strong>Jassen Yep,<\/strong> who had been second in both breaststroke events. Third was <strong>Mikey Calvillo,<\/strong> the winner of the 1,000 free and 500 free.<\/p>\n<p>Mathias, <strong>Tomer Frankel<\/strong> and <strong>Gavin Wright<\/strong> were on both Indiana winning relays. Wright was second in the 100 back. Miroslaw won the 200 free.<\/p>\n<p>Louisville won both breaststroke events via <strong>Denis Petrashov,<\/strong> the 200 win coming by just .08 over Yep. <strong>Dalton Lowe<\/strong> won the 100 back and finished second to Burns in the 100 fly.<\/p>\n<p>The women\u2019s meet looked to be settled early, until Louisville\u2019s sprint contingent pushed the Cardinal back into contention.<\/p>\n<p>Indiana won the first four individual events, the first two in 1-2 finishes. <strong>Mariah Denigan<\/strong> and <strong>Ching Gan<\/strong> went 1-2 in the 1,000 free. <strong>Alex Peplowski<\/strong> won the 200 free ahead of teammate <strong>Elyse Heiser,<\/strong> then turned around for third in the 100 back to back teammate <strong>Kacey McKenna.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Denigan, Heiser and Ching would provide a vital 1-2-3 in the 500 free, and the night was dotted by Peplowski results: Alex also won the 200 back. <strong>Noelle Peplowski<\/strong> reigned in the 100 breast, 200 breast and 200 IM.<\/p>\n<p>All was sailing along until the sprinters had their say. <strong>Gabi Albiero<\/strong> went 22.41 to win the 50, leading teammates <strong>Christiana Regenauer<\/strong> and <strong>Julia Dennis<\/strong> across the line. Albiero also won the 100 free ahead of teammate <strong>Ella Welch.<\/strong> Regenauer and <strong>Tristan Ulett<\/strong> went 1-2 in the 100 fly, after Ulett had won 200 fly.<\/p>\n<p>Louisville also claimed both relays by comfortable margins, Albiero and Regenauer on both. But Indiana had too much down the stretch. <strong>Mac Looze<\/strong> was second in the 200 breast and third in the 200 IM. <strong>Anne Fowler<\/strong> won both diving events for the
