Moran also won a pair of freestyle event, taking the 50 (20.40) and 100 (44.54).\u00a0<strong>Mason Herbet<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Tommaso Baravelli<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Adrian Aguilar<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Peter Varjasi<\/strong> won the 200 medley relay in 1:27.60, and the 200 free relay went to Herbet,\u00a0<strong>Arijus Pavlidi<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Jokubas Keblys<\/strong> and\u00a0Varjasi in 1:20.81.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/category\/college\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>College swimming news<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The FSU women took the 200 medley relay in 1:39.51 with <strong>Sarah<\/strong> <strong>Evans<\/strong>, <strong>Julia<\/strong> <strong>Mansson<\/strong>, <strong>Jenny<\/strong> <strong>Halden<\/strong> and <strong>Gloria Muzito<\/strong>, and later on, Muzito, <strong>Aryanna<\/strong> <strong>Fernandes<\/strong>, <strong>Maddie McDonald<\/strong> and <strong>Zsofia Kurdi<\/strong> ended the meet with a victory in the 200 free relay, touching at 1:32.06. In between, Muzito took the 50 free (23.06), and Fernandes won the 100 IM (57.71). Mansson got the job done in the 100 breaststroke (1:01.53) while McDonald hit the wall with a time of 54.47 in the 100 backstroke.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/seminoles.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/2022-23-Tampa-vs-FSU.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Full results are available here<\/a>, and read the full press release from Florida State below:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The No.16\/NR Florida State swimming and diving teams brought home two wins against Tampa at the Morcom Aquatics Center on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>The 16th-ranked men (4-2, 1-0 ACC) defeated Tampa 152.5-71.5, and the women (6-3, 2-0 ACC) won, 163-61.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to the meet, 18 seniors were recognized for their achievements as student-athletes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday was about the seniors,\u201d FSU head coach <strong>Neal Studd<\/strong> said. \u201cWe had a lot of fun competing against Tampa and we stepped up and swam well. I like where we are as we shift our focus towards championship season.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<blockquote>\n<div class=\"row\">\n<div class=\"col-xs-12 col-md-7 col-centered\">\n<p>The Seminoles saw two Morcom Aquatics Center pool records on Friday. <strong>Yordan Yanchev<\/strong> lowered his mark in the 500 free, touching with a time of 4:16.84. Yanchev originally set the record one year ago at 4:18.87.<\/p>\n<p>Yanchev also placed first in the men\u2019s 200 free with a time of 1:36.79 ahead of his teammate <strong>Utku Kurtdere<\/strong> (1:39.33) in second.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tommaso Baravelli<\/strong> set the standard in the 200 IM, touching at 1:46.95, which erased <strong>Mason Herbet\u2019s<\/strong> 1:47.35 that was also set against the Spartans last season.<\/p>\n<p>The women started the meet off by finishing in first and second place in the 200 medley relay, led by <strong>Sarah<\/strong> <strong>Evans<\/strong>, <strong>Julia<\/strong> <strong>Mansson<\/strong>, <strong>Jenny<\/strong> <strong>Halden<\/strong> and <strong>Gloria Muzito<\/strong> at 1:39.51.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Julia Brzozowski<\/strong> (10:14.61) and <strong>Ella Dyjak<\/strong> (10:22.69) placed first and second in the 1000 free, respectively, and <strong>Tania Quaglieri<\/strong> dominated the 200 free, winning with a time of 1:49.45.<\/p>\n<p>Muzito and <strong>Malika Schneider<\/strong> touched first and second in the 50 free with times of 23.06 and 23.77, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>The Seminoles then swept the 100 IM, led by <strong>Aryanna Fernandes<\/strong> (57.71) in first, <strong>Edith Jernstedt<\/strong> (57.77) in second, <strong>Anna<\/strong> <strong>Metzler<\/strong> (58.19) in third and <strong>Sophie Freeman<\/strong> in fourth (58.21).<\/p>\n<p>Freeman added a win later in the meet, taking the 500 free with a time of 4:59.77 ahead of Dyjak (5:03.10) in second and Brzozowski (5:03.10) in third.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Phoebe Griffiths<\/strong> was the winner in the 100 free (52.27), and <strong>Maddie McDonald<\/strong> touched first in the 100 back (54.47).<\/p>\n<p>FSU added a one-two finish in the 100 breast, led by Mansson (1:01.53) in first and <strong>Zsofia Kurdi<\/strong> (1:02.40) in second.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row\">\n<div class=\"col-xs-12 col-md-7 col-centered\">\n<p><strong>Maddy Huggins<\/strong> (2:01.75) and Jernstedt (2:03.90) finished in first and second place as Huggins turned in her personal best.<\/p>\n<p>Muzito, Fernandes, McDonald and Kurdi ended the meet with a victory in the 200 free relay, touching at 1:32.06.<\/p>\n<p>In the men\u2019s meet, Herbet, Baravelli, <strong>Adrian Aguilar<\/strong> and <strong>Peter Varjasi<\/strong> took first in the men\u2019s 200 medley relay to start the meet with a time of 1:27.60.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row\">\n<div class=\"col-xs-12 col-md-7 col-centered\"><strong>Blake Moran<\/strong> added two individual wins, taking the 50 free (20.40) ahead of <strong>Arijus Pavlidi<\/strong> (20.56) in second. He also won the 100 free, touching at 44.54.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div class=\"row\">\n<div class=\"col-xs-12 col-md-7 col-centered\">\n<blockquote><p>Varjasi (49.19) and <strong>Domen Demsar<\/strong> (50.26) \u00a0finished first and second in the 100 IM, and Aguilar (48.55) and <strong>Brennan Hammond<\/strong> (49.21) followed in first and second place in the 100 fly.<\/p>\n<p>The Noles added the sweep of the 100 back, led by Herbet (47.42), followed by <strong>Max Wilson<\/strong> (49.14) and Demsar (49.28).<\/p>\n<p>Herbet, Pavlidi, <strong>Jokubas
