The women\u2019s team defeated the Wolverines, 186.5-113.5, earning its first-ever victory against Michigan in Ann Arbor. The men beat Michigan, 151.5-148.5, their first dual meet victory in Ann Arbor since 1951.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is the first time the women\u2019s team has earned dual meet wins against the Wolverines in consecutive season (2022, 2023) and the first time the men have earned consecutive wins (2022, 2023) since the early 1950\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Men\u2019s Meet Notes\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li>Ohio State picked up their first victory of the day in the 200 medley relay, with the team of <strong>Alex Quach, Pete Krusinski, James Ward<\/strong> and <strong>Ruslan Gaziev<\/strong> finishing in 1:26.04.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Charlie Clark<\/strong> won the 1000 free with a time of 8:58.07. <strong>North Hansen<\/strong> (9:13.09), <strong>Alex<\/strong> <strong>Axon<\/strong> (9:17.85) and <strong>Sam Campbell<\/strong> (9:18.42) finished 2-3-4.\u00a0<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Gaziev picked up a win in the 200 free with a time of 1:36.37.\u00a0<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>In a tight race, Ohio State&#8217;s Quach tied for first place in the 100 back, touching the wall 47.34, which is an NCAA B standard time. <strong>Thomas Watkins<\/strong> finished in third place with a time of 47.62.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Karl Helmuth<\/strong> placed fifth in the 100 breast, finishing in 56.07. He also finished fifth in the 200 breast with a time of 2:02.51.\u00a0<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Chachi Gustafson<\/strong> won the 200 fly with a time of 1:46.75.\u00a0<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Gaziev finished third in the 50 free, touching the wall at 20.02.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Clayton Chaplin<\/strong> won the 3-meter dive with an overall score of 351.90, which is an NCAA Zones qualifying score. <strong>Lyle Yost<\/strong> placed third with a score of 317.25.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Gaziev earned a first-place finish in the 100 free, finishing in an NCAA B cut time of 43.58.\u00a0<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Ohio State&#8217;s Watkins won the 200 back, finishing in an NCAA B standard time of 1:43.94. <strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Clark (4:24.46) and Axon (4:27.08) finished first and second in the 500 free.\u00a0<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Quach won the 100 fly with an NCAA B standard time of 46.59. The relay team of<strong> Tristan Harrison, Hannah Bach, Catherine Russo<\/strong> and <strong>Teresa Ivan<\/strong> placed second with a time of 1:39.79.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Maya Geringer<\/strong> placed first in the 1000 free with a time of 9:54.12. <strong>Gwen Woodbury<\/strong> finished in third place with a time of 9:59.19.\u00a0<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Fulmer won the 200 free, finishing in 1:48.04.\u00a0<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Ohio State&#8217;s Harrison won the 100 back with a time of 54.42 and <strong>Morgan Kraus<\/strong> placed second with a time of 55.10.\u00a0<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Panitz (1:00.78) and Bach (1:02.88) placed second and third in the 100 breast, respectively. Panitz\u2019s time is an NCAA B cut time. <strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Felicia Pasadyn<\/strong> earned a win in the 200 fly with an NCAA B standard time of 1:58.84.\u00a0<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Ivan finished second in the 50 free with an NCAA B cut time of 22.57. Zenick placed third, touching the wall at 22.59 for Ohio State<\/li>\n<li><strong>Lena Hentschel<\/strong> won the 1-meter dive with an NCAA Zones qualifying score of 353.48. <strong>Ciara McGing<\/strong> also turned in an NCAA Zones qualifying, placing third with an overall score of 303.68.\u00a0<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Ohio State&#8217;s Fulmer placed second in the 100 free with a time of 49.47 and Ivan finished third with a time of 49.69. <strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Panitz finished the 200 breast in an NCAA B cut time of 2:12.22 to place second.<strong> Leah Baker<\/strong> (2:18.75) finished third.\u00a0<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Pasadyn earned her second win of the day in the 200 back with a time of 1:57.48.<\/li>\n<li>Woodbury won the 500 free, finishing in 4:54.41, and Geringer placed second, finishing in 4:55.57.\u00a0<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Zenick won the 100 fly with an NCAA B standard time of 53.36. Kraus finished second with a time of 54.32.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Hentschel also won the 3-meter dive with a score of 302.40, which is an NCAA Zones qualifying score.\u00a0\u00a0<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Pasadyn (2:00.91) and Panitz (2:01.73) placed second and third in the 200 IM.\u00a0<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The Ohio State relay team of Zenick, Harrison, Ivan and Fulmer won the 400 free relay with a time of 3:17.14.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Michigan&#8217;s <strong>Letetia Sim<\/strong> won the 100 breaststroke (1:00.41), 200 IM (1:59.73) and 200 breaststroke (2:11.47). <strong>Lindsay Flynn<\/strong> won the 50 free (22.46) and 100 free (48.95).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Brendan Fitzpatrick<\/strong> won the men&#8217;s 100 breast (54.71). <strong>Cam Peel<\/strong> won the 50 free (19.84). <strong>Ansel Froass<\/strong> won the 200 breast (1:59.87). <strong>Cameron Gammage<\/strong> won 3-meter diving (385.50). <strong>Jared Daigle<\/strong> won the 200 IM (1:47.09).<\/p>\n<p>But it was not enough to win at home against Ohio State.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The No. 5 Ohio State men\u2019s and women\u2019s swimming and diving teams made history in Ann Arbor on Saturday.
