The 11th-ranked Cal women\u2019s team claimed a 199-94 decision.<\/p>\n<p>Lasco and Jett helped the Golden Bears make quick work of the Wildcats. Lasco won the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:36.63, ahead of <strong>Colby Mefford.<\/strong> Lasco then won the 200 breaststroke in 1:58.94, ahead of <strong>Jason Louser.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/pac-12-swimming\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pac-12 Swimming<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/results\/california-vs-arizona\/ncaa-college\/2023\/January\/20?rtn=%2Fresults%2F\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Meet Results<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Jett won the 1,000 freestyle in 9:16.87. He added the 200 individual medley crown in 1:46.31, nearly three seconds ahead of <strong>Reece Whitley.<\/strong> In between, Jett finished second to Mefford (1:46.65) in the 200 backstroke.<\/p>\n<p>Louser won the 100 breast 54.30. <strong>Bjorn Seeliger<\/strong> captured the 50 free in 19.83. Dylan Hawk (44.62) won the 100 free, then <strong>Tyler Kopp<\/strong> outdueled teammate <strong>Robin Hanson<\/strong> by .14 seconds in the 500 free.<\/p>\n<p>Cal won both relays, with <strong>Jack Alexy<\/strong> on both squads. On the 200 free relay was <strong>Hugo Gonzalez,<\/strong> making his season debut for the Golden Bears. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/ncaa-mens-championships-hugo-gonzalez-crushes-chase-kaliszs-400-im-record-with-332-88\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2022 NCAA champion<\/a> finished fifth in the 200 free (1:40.82) and fifth in the 100 fly (50.64). He split 20.83 on the 200 free relay.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Haakon Naughton<\/strong> swept the butterfly events for Arizona. <strong>Ryan Purdy<\/strong> claimed the 100 back.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Isabelle Stadden<\/strong> led the women\u2019s team to the easy victory. She won the 200 back in 1:57.51, then claimed the 200 IM in 2:02.41. She had also finished second to teammate <strong>Ella Mazurek<\/strong> in the 50 free, Stadden going 23.30 to Mazurek\u2019s 23.19.<\/p>\n<p>Stadden lead off the 200 medley relay with Mazurek anchoring, joined by <strong>Jade Neser<\/strong> and <strong>Emily Gantriis<\/strong> in a victorious time of 1:37.98. Mazurek and Gantriis were also on the wining 200 free relay.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ayla Spitz<\/strong> won the 100 free in 50.23, then claimed the 100 back in 54.37. <strong>Sarah DiMeco<\/strong> won the 1,000 free and was second to teammate <strong>Fanni Fabian<\/strong> in the 500.
