The Lumberjacks bested Washington State, 178-116, at the University of Arizona&#8217;s Hillenbrand Aquatic Center.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/results\/northern-arizona-washington-state-at-arizona-2023\/ncaa-college\/2023\/January\/13?rtn=%2Fresults%2F\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Meet Results<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/pac-12-swimming\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pac-12 Swimming<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Wildcats asserted themselves mid-meet as the sprinters stepped up. <strong>Alyssa Schwengel<\/strong> went 23.72 to win the 50 freestyle, followed by teammates <strong>Riley Botton<\/strong> (23.81) and <strong>Grace Anderson<\/strong> (24.09). Schwengel also got her hand to the wall first in the 100 free.<\/p>\n<p>Schwengel swam legs on both of Arizona&#8217;s winning relays, along with <strong>Julia Heimstead.<\/strong> They joined Botton and <strong>Tia Lindsay<\/strong> on the 400 free relay. Heimstead won the 200 free and 100 butterfly. Lindsay finished second in the 500 free and third in the 200 free.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Daisy Anderson<\/strong> won the 400 individual medley, finished second in the 200 fly and third in the 200 backstroke for Arizona. <strong>Paige Armstrong<\/strong> captured second place in both backstroke events.<\/p>\n<p>Northern Arizona\u2019s distance contingent keyed its victory over Wazzu. <strong>Casey Craffey<\/strong> started it with a win in the 1,000 free, her time of 10:18.81 launching a 1-2 finish with teammate <strong>Francesca Criscione. Maddy Rey<\/strong> won the 500 free, finished second in the 400 IM and grabbed third in the 200 fly. <strong>Gracie Munk<\/strong> swept the backstroke events, her winning margin in the 200 at nearly two seconds. <strong>Haley Mayhew<\/strong> finished third in both breaststroke swims.<\/p>\n<p>Washington State dominated breaststroke courtesy of <strong>Emily Lundgren.<\/strong> She went 1:04.05 to edge <strong>Kennedy Fisher<\/strong> in the 100 breast, then won the 200 breast by nearly a second. <strong>Dori Hathazi<\/strong> won the 200 fly for the Cougars, and <strong>Angela Di<\/strong> <strong>Palo<\/strong> finished second in the 200 free and 100 free.
