The Georgia women won 181 to 119 while the men took a 189.5-to-109.5 victory.<\/p>\n<p>Hartman joined\u00a0<strong>Marie Schobel<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Callie Dickinson<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Eboni McCarty<\/strong> to win the 200 medley relay in 1:40.53, edging South Carolina by just a tenth, and she later won the 100 breaststroke (1:01.15), 200 breaststroke (2:14.36) and 200 IM (2:01.10). Also for the Bulldogs,\u00a0<strong>Dune Coetzee<\/strong> won the 200 freestyle (1:48.57) and 500 freestyle (4:48.44), while Schobel won the 100 backstroke (53.94) and 200 backstroke (1:56.62) and McCarty swept the 50 free (23.07) and 100 free (50.37).<\/p>\n<p>The men&#8217;s meet included Hils winning the 200 free (1:38.36), 100 free (44.48) and 200 IM (1:48.53), while the top swimmer on the Bulldogs&#8217; roster, <strong>Jake Magahey<\/strong>, won the 500 free in 4:26.18 and finished second in the 1000 free in 9:18.94 behind teammate\u00a0<strong>Tommy-Lee Camblong<\/strong> (9:12.68). Magahey was the runnerup in the 500 free at last year&#8217;s NCAA Championships and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/2022-u-s-nationals-jake-magahey-holds-off-olympic-trio-in-mens-400-freestyle-finals\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the winner of the 400-meter free at U.S. Nationals in July<\/a>. <strong>Bradley Dunham<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Wesley Ng<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Dillon Downing<\/strong> and Magahey combined to win the 400 free relay in 2:58.93, and Ng (100 butterfly, 48.08) and Downing (50 free, 20.02) also had individual wins.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/sidearm.sites\/georgiadogs.com\/documents\/2023\/1\/14\/08_South_Carolina.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Full results are available here<\/a>, and read the full press release from Georgia below:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Led by a pair of three-win performances from senior standouts, the University of Georgia swimming and diving teams returned to action with a sweep of South Carolina Saturday afternoon at the Carolina Natatorium.<\/p>\n<p>In the women&#8217;s competition, the ninth-ranked Bulldogs (6-2, 2-2 SEC) defeated the No. 24 Gamecocks, 181-119, while the No. 10 Georgia men (7-1, 4-0 SEC) bested South Carolina, 189.5-109.5 for their sixth-consecutive dual meet victory.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Women \u2013 No. 9 Georgia 181, No. 24 South Carolina 119<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With 13 wins, the Georgia women returned to the win column for the first time since beating Florida State in October. Senior <strong>Zoie Hartman<\/strong> highlighted the day with three individual wins and a first-place relay, sweeping the breaststroke events and winning the 200 IM. Hartman also swam the second leg of the victorious 200 medley relay, joining graduates <strong>Marie Schobel<\/strong> and <strong>Callie Dickinson<\/strong> and sophomore <strong>Eboni<\/strong> <strong>McCarty<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Each of the relay participants also won their individual events, including Schobel, who took both backstroke events. McCarty swept the sprint events, while Dickinson took first in the 200 butterfly at 2:00.20. Sophomore <strong>Dune\u00a0Coetzee<\/strong> turned in her best performance of the season with wins in the 200 (1:48.57) and 500 freestyle (4:48.44). Additionally, sophomore <strong>Abby McCulloh<\/strong> prevailed in the 1,000 freestyle for the fourth time this season with a time of 9:47.49. In the closing 400 freestyle relay, McCarty joined teammates <strong>Sloane<\/strong> <strong>Reinstein<\/strong>, <strong>Briana Roberson<\/strong>\u00a0and <strong>Shea Furse<\/strong> to win with a time of 3:22.76.<\/p>\n<p>In diving, junior <strong>Meghan Wenzel<\/strong> set a new collegiate personal best in the 3-meter with a third-place score of 318.90, while also placing third on 1-meter with a mark of 275.40.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Men \u2013 No. 10 Georgia 189.5, South Carolina 109.5<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After posting three wins against Kentucky, senior <strong>Zach Hils<\/strong> again notched a trio of victories in Saturday&#8217;s meet. Hils finished first in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:38.36, followed by wins in the 100 freestyle (44.48) and 200 IM (1:48.53). Fellow seniors <strong>Dillon Downing<\/strong> (50 freestyle) and <strong>Ian Grum<\/strong> (200 backstroke) also earned wins, with Downing contributing to victorious 200 medley and 400 freestyle relays.<\/p>\n<p>In the 1000 freestyle, junior <strong>Tommy-Lee Camblong<\/strong> prevailed with a time of 9:12.68, while fellow junior <strong>Jake Magahey<\/strong> took first in the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:26.18. Junior <strong>Wesley Ng<\/strong> dominated the 100 butterfly with a winning time of 48.08, besting the field by nearly a second. In the 200 breaststroke, junior <strong>Connor Haigh<\/strong> also notched a decisive win with a time of 2:01.76, leading a top-three sweep by the Bulldogs. Earlier in the 100 breaststroke, freshman <strong>Kristian Pitshugin<\/strong> tied for the victory with a time of 56.50.<\/p>\n<p>At the diving well, sophomore <strong>Nolan Lewis<\/strong> posted one of his top scores of the season, posting a second-place 342.60 on the 3-meter, followed by fellow sophomore <strong>Rhett Hopkins<\/strong> in third at 324.68. In his first dual meet for Georgia, sophomore transfer <strong>Allen Mann<\/strong> placed third in the 1-meter with a mark of
