ORLANDO, Florida, March 21. THE 100 butterfly concluded the individual events on the fourth night of the NCSA Junior National Championships.<\/p>\n
Women\u2019s 100 Butterfly:<\/p>\n
Nations Capital\u2019s Janet Hu dominated the 100 butterfly from the start. The butterfly sensation, who set a 17-18 NAG in the 200 butterfly earlier in the meet, relies heavily on her incredible underwaters to maintain her distance ahead of the competition. Although Natalie Coughlin\u2019s 51.18 NAG was out of reach, Hu touched the wall first with a very respectable 52.00.<\/p>\n
Former 13-14 girls 100 butterfly NAG record hold Elizabeth Nelson took the second spot with a 52.49. Cassidy Bayer took third in the event with a 53.30, claiming Nelson\u2019s 13-14 NAG record in the process.<\/p>\n
Men\u2019s 100 Butterfly:<\/p>\n
Andrew Seliskar, fresh off his 200 breaststroke NAG and individual win was back behind the blocks less than 15 minutes later preparing to defend his top spot in the 100 butterfly. Seliskar meant business, and was first at the 50 with a 21.49. Seliskar posted a 46.50 for the win and a personal best time. Michael Andrew placed second in the event with a 47.40, a time that also bettered his own 13-14 NAG record by several one hundredths. Gunnar Bentz placed third with a 47.56.<\/p>\n
