France led the way in 1:29.69 behind a team of\u00a0<strong>Florent Manaudou<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Maxime Grousset<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Melanie Henique<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Mary-Ambre Moluh<\/strong>. Manaudou, the 2012 Olympic gold medalist in the 50 free and a medalist in the event in 2016 and 2021, led off in 21.10.<\/p>\n<p>Australia&#8217;s <strong>Flynn Southam<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Matt Temple<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Madison Wilson<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Emma McKeon<\/strong> took second in 1:29.82 with McKeon again splitting under 23 on the anchor leg after doing so on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/world-championships-day-3-womens-events-us-girls-snatch-thrilling-4x50m-freestyle-relay-gold-in-classic-duel-with-australia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Australia&#8217;s silver-medal-winning women&#8217;s 200 free relay Thursday evening<\/a>. Douglass dominated the prelims of the event with a time of 2:16.52, leaving her two full seconds ahead of long course world champion and U.S. teammate\u00a0<strong>Lilly King<\/strong>. Douglass recently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/kate-douglass-becomes-first-woman-under-202-in-200-yard-breaststroke-breaks-own-american-record\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">broke her own American record in the 200-yard breast<\/a> after taking bronze in the 200-meter breast at the long course Worlds in June.<\/p>\n<p>King placed second in 2:18.59, just ahead of the Netherlands&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Tes Schouten<\/strong> (2:18.70). Canada&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Sydney Pickrem<\/strong> and China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Tang Qianting<\/strong> tied for fourth in 2:19.57, just ahead of the swimmer who finished between King and Douglass at long course Worlds, Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jenna Strauch<\/strong> (2:19.75). Wasick swam a time of 23.74 to edge out Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Meg Harris<\/strong> by three hundredths, with Denmark&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Julie Jensen<\/strong> just behind in 23.79.<\/p>\n<p>Great Britain&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Anna Hopkin<\/strong> and France&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Melanie Henique<\/strong> tied for fourth in 23.86, while Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Emma McKeon<\/strong>, the Olympic gold medalist in the 50 free in 2021, placed sixth in 23.93. Sweden&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Michelle Coleman<\/strong> (23.94) and the USA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Erika Brown<\/strong> (23.98) also broke 24. Brown tied Harris for bronze in the 50 free at long course Worlds.<\/p>\n<p>Slovenia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Neza Klancar<\/strong>, the USA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Claire Curzan<\/strong>, the Czech Republic&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Barbora Seemanova<\/strong>, the Netherlands&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Valerie van Roon<\/strong>, China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Quingeng Wu<\/strong>, the
