Two WJRs In One Day For Ilya Kharun"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>World Championships, Day One Men&#8217;s Semifinals: Szebasztian Szabo 0.15 Off 50 Fly WR &amp; Two WJRs In One Day For Ilya Kharun<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Szebasztian Szabo<\/strong> was 0.15 off his joint 50 fly world record and <strong>Ilya Kharun<\/strong> set two WJRs in one day at the <strong>World Short-Course Championships<\/strong> in Melbourne.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/results\/2022-world-short-course-championships-day-1\/international-elite\/2022\/December\/13?rtn=%2Fresults%2F\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Day 1 Results<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.omegatiming.com\/2022\/16th-fina-world-swimming-championships-25m-live-results\">Live to results<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Szabo, who set the WR of 21.75 he holds with <strong>Nicholas Santos<\/strong> on his way to European gold in Kazan last year, was the only man inside 22secs in 21.90.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dylan Carter<\/strong>, silver medallist at last year&#8217;s edition in Abu Dhabi clocked 22.02 for second with Noe Ponti (22.04) and Santos (22.08) next swiftest.<\/p>\n<p>Also through were <strong>Chad Le Clos<\/strong> (22.09), <strong>Marius Kusch<\/strong> (22.14) and <strong>Tzen Wei Tong<\/strong> (22.18).<\/p>\n<p>Kharun went 22.32 in the prelims to take 0.02 from <strong>Andrei Minakov<\/strong>&#8216;s former junior mark of 22.34 from the Russian Championships in December 2020.<\/p>\n<p>The Canadian 17-year-old returned for the semis where he sliced a further 0.04 to stop the clock at 22.28 although he will need a swim-off with <strong>Daniel Zaitsev<\/strong> on Wednesday morning to determine who will book the eighth spot in the final.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ryan Murphy<\/strong> heads the 100 back semis in 49.17 ahead of <strong>Kacper Stokowski<\/strong> (49.33) and <strong>Lorenzo Mora<\/strong> (49.57).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Yohann Ndoye Brouard<\/strong> was 0.21 off <strong>Jeremy Stravius<\/strong>&#8216;
