Jacoby swam a mark of 57.76, which fell just short of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/lydia-jacoby-lowers-kaitlyn-doblers-17-18-nag-record-in-100-breaststroke\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the 17-18 National Age Group record of 57.54 she set at last week&#8217;s Minnesota Invitational<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>By the halfway point of the race, Jacoby was already a second clear of her closest competition, and she ended up winning by almost two seconds. Bellevue&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Piper Enge\u00a0<\/strong>ended up taking second in 59.61, just ahead of Crow Canyon&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Raya Mellott<\/strong> (59.74).<\/p>\n<p>In other events, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/katie-grimes-shatters-nag-in-400-im-clocks-no-4-performance-in-history-at-winter-juniors-west\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Katie Grimes<\/strong> became the fourth-fastest performer in history in the girls 400 IM<\/a>, and Sandpipers teammate <strong>Bella Sims<\/strong> won a pair of titles while\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/katie-grimes-shatters-nag-in-400-im-clocks-no-4-performance-in-history-at-winter-juniors-west\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Maximus Williamson<\/strong> knocked off a\u00a0<strong>Michael Phelps<\/strong> National Age Group record in the boys&#8217; 400 IM on his way to three victories in the session<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Inspire&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Nathaniel Germonprez<\/strong> edged out\u00a0Rose Bown&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Daniel Li<\/strong> to win in the boys&#8217; 100 breast, 52.73 to 52.92, while First Colony&#8217;s <strong>Logan Brown<\/strong> came in third. Earlier in the evening, Texas Ford&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jacob Wimberly<\/strong> won the boys&#8217; 100 butterfly in 46.26 as he overtook First Colony&#8217;s <strong>Hayden Bellotti<\/strong> (46.44). Evolution&#8217;s <strong>David Schmitt<\/strong> took third (46.86).\u00a0<strong>Emma Kern<\/strong> of the Aquajets won the girls&#8217; 100 fly in 52.23, and Irvine Novaquatics&#8217; <strong>Maggie Schalow<\/strong> edged out Palo Alto&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kelsey Zhang<\/strong> for third, 52.56 to 52.62.<\/p>\n<p>The Sandpipers of Nevada returned to finish out the night in the 200 free relay, and the team of Sims, Grimes,\u00a0<strong>Macky Hodges<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Claire Weinstein<\/strong> ended up tying with Mission Viejo&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Teia Salvino<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Asia Kozan<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Gracyn Aquino<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Teagan O&#8217;Dell<\/strong> in 1:29.35. Sims led off for the Sandpipers in 22.15 while O&#8217;Dell anchored for Mission Viejo in 21.96. Nitro&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Aliana Marakovic<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Trinity Hoang<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Avery Mehok<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Ella Mongenel<\/strong> took third in 1:31.54.<\/p>\n<p>Nitro&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Sonny Wang<\/strong>, <strong>Jeremy Kelly<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Oliver Rowe<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Kelson Flynn<\/strong> won the boys&#8217; 200 free relay in 1:19.87 with three of the swimmers splitting under 20. Lakeside finished second in 1:20.18 with\u00a0<strong>River Paulk<\/strong>, Williamson,\u00a0<strong>Max Hatcher<\/strong> and <strong>Cooper Lucas<\/strong>, and Rose Bowl&#8217;s <strong>Rex Maurer<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Jonathan Gim<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Nathan Kim<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Athan Boutakidis<\/strong> took third in 1:20.23.
