USC national champion Kaitlyn Dobler<\/strong> is opting to take one more year of NCAA eligibility.<\/p>\n

Dobler is the defending NCAA champion, and U.S. nationals champion<\/a> in the 100 breaststroke. She is taking the extra year that the NCAA allowed for athletes affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. She is a junior eligibility-wise and will begin her masters degree studies in astronautical engineering.<\/p>\n

She made the announcement on Instagram.<\/p>\n

“Only half way done! I\u2019m so excited to be taking my 5th year of eligibility to swim at USC while pursuing a masters degree in astronautical engineering through USC\u2019s progressive degree program starting next semester! I am so thankful for my teammates, coaches, and academic program, and I couldn\u2019t imagine a better place to spend the next two and a half years! FIGHT ON FOREVER!” Kaitlyn Dobler posted on Instagram. <\/span><\/p>\n
