In fact, this was her first official 500 freestyle swim.<\/p>\n<p>Carmel\u2019s <strong>Lynsey Bowen<\/strong> took second in 4:44.36, followed by Sarasota\u2019s<strong> Michaela Mattes<\/strong> time.<\/p>\n<p>GSCY\u2019s <strong>Emily Thompson<\/strong> took the third spot in 1:58.83, just three hundredths ahead of Carmel\u2019s <strong>Molly Sweeney<\/strong> (1:58.86).<\/p>\n<pre><b>Event seed in the 200 IM, none of the most anticipated head-to-head battles of juniors on the men\u2019s side.<\/p>\n<p>Heilman touched the wall in 1:43.39 and will be right next to Diehl in the finals, who
