In her first appearance of the meet, McIntosh wasted no time in overcoming a massive deficit to give her team a win.<\/p>\n<p>McIntosh dove in with the Sharks in second place and more than five seconds behind Carmel, but she split 1:40.19 to overcome Carmel anchor\u00a0<strong>Berit Berglund<\/strong>. McIntosh moved into a slight lead with just over 50 yards remaining before she pulled away to win by more than three seconds. Notably, McIntosh&#8217;s split is the seventh-fastest in history, with\u00a0<strong>Mallory Comerford<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Taylor Ruck<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Katie Ledecky<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Missy Franklin<\/strong> as the only swimmers to ever swim faster.<\/p>\n<p>The team of <strong>Addison Sauickie<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Michaela Mattes<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Gracie Weyant<\/strong> and McIntosh combined for a time of 7:03.66, smashing the 2017 meet record of 7:05.85 set by the Nashville Aquatic Club foursome of future collegiate standouts <strong>Allie Raab<\/strong>, <strong>Gretchen Walsh<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Ella Nelson<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Alex Walsh<\/strong>. The Sharks&#8217; time was quicker than the 15-18 National Age Group record of 7:05.91, but it does not count since McIntosh represents Canada internationally.<\/p>\n<p>Carmel ended up finishing second in 7:07.10 with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/alex-shackell-emerging-as-elite-butterfly-talent-sights-on-home-olympic-trials-in-2024\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Alex Shackell<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0<strong>Lynsey Bowen<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Molly Sweeney<\/strong> and Berglund. Notably, Shackell&#8217;s leadoff time of 1:43.60 would rank tied for third in college swimming this season with Tennessee&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Brookylnn Douthwright<\/strong> and behind only Ruck and\u00a0<strong>Kelly Pash<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 and Shackell is only a sophomore in high school. The TAC Titans&#8217; <strong>Nicole Zettel<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Mere Whelehan<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Jullian Crooks<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Keelan Cotter<\/strong> placed third in 7:14.20.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.swmeets.com\/Realtime\/SC%20Juniors\/2022\/\" target=\"_blank\"
