Pash posted the top time in prelims in the event at 1:53.29, which moved her to second in the country behind Stanford&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Charlotte Hook<\/strong>, while\u00a0<strong>Dakota Luther<\/strong> came in second in 1:53.75 and\u00a0<strong>Emma Sticklen<\/strong> took third in 1:54.21, good for fourth and fifth nationally, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Cal&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Isabelle Stadden<\/strong> led the way in the 200 back ahead of 2021 NCAA champion and 2022 NCAA runnerup\u00a0<strong>Phoebe Bacon<\/strong>, 1:51.77 to 1:52.04. Texas&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Olivia Bray<\/strong>, who was one of the Longhorns&#8217; 200 fly A-finalists the past two seasons but skipped the event in Minneapolis, took third in 1:52.44.<\/p>\n<p>Texas&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Grace Cooper<\/strong> topped the women&#8217;s 100 free in 48.65 while Texas&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Kyla Leibel<\/strong> and Cal&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Eloise Riley<\/strong> tied for second in 48.78. Fresh off <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/lydia-jacoby-lowers-kaitlyn-doblers-17-18-nag-record-in-100-breaststroke\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a National Age Group record in the 100 breast Friday night<\/a>, Texas&#8217; <strong>Lydia Jacoby<\/strong> topped the 200 breast in 2:09.77 over Wisconsin teammates\u00a0<strong>Elizabeth Moore\u00a0<\/strong>(2:10.50) and\u00a0<strong>Hazal Ozkan<\/strong> (2:11.44). Notably, Texas&#8217; <strong>Anna Elendt<\/strong> was absent from the event.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Men&#8217;s Results<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>After a tie in the 100 breast Friday, fifth-year swimmers\u00a0<strong>Reece Whitley\u00a0<\/strong>(Cal) and\u00a0<strong>Max McHugh<\/strong> (Minnesota) will face off again in the 200 breast. Whitley led the way in 1:54.53, with McHugh just three hundredths behind in 1:54.56. Texas&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Braden Vines<\/strong> was third in 1:54.77.<\/p>\n<p>A Golden Bear also recorded the top time in the 200 fly as <strong>Dare Rose<\/strong> edged out\u00a0Arizona&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Brooks Taner\u00a0<\/strong>(1:43.20) and Texas teammates\u00a0<strong>Cole Crane\u00a0<\/strong>(1:43.28) and\u00a0<strong>Sam Artmann<\/strong> (1:43.31). Cal&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Gabriel Jett<\/strong>, the U.S. National champion in the 200-meter fly, is looming after he qualified fifth in 1:43.91.<\/p>\n<p>In a surprising result, Lasco finished outside of the top-eight in the 200 back, with his time of 1:43.86 leaving him in ninth place and two tenths out of the final. Lasco is the reigning NCAA champion in the event, but he will have an opportunity to post a swift time in the evening&#8217;s B-final. Meanwhile, Texas&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Chris O&#8217;Connor\u00a0<\/strong>led the way in 1:41.68 ahead of Cal&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ziyad Saleem<\/strong> (1:42.68) and Harvard&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Gunner Grant\u00a0<\/strong>(1:42.74), and in the 100 free, Cal&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jack Alexy<\/strong> finishes as the top seed in 42.62, just ahead of Texas teammates\u00a0<strong>Peter Larson<\/strong> (42.64) and\u00a0<strong>Danny Krueger\u00a0<\/strong>(42.68) and Cal&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Bjorn Seeliger\u00a0<\/strong>(42.72).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Minnesota Invitational: Kelly Pash Blasts 1:53 200 Fly;
