report<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Steenbergen won the 200 free on the opening day before adding the 100 fly on Friday as she continued the golden form that saw her win titles among seven medals <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/european-championships-marrit-steenbergen-continues-dutch-freestyle-strength-with-200-free-win\/\">at the European Championships<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>On Saturday, the 22-year-old dominated the 100 free to stop the clock at 53.61, her third-best time of the season behind her 53.41 on the women&#8217;s 4&#215;100 freestyle relay at the <strong>World Championships<\/strong> in Budapest and her season&#8217;s best of 53.24 en-route to the individual title in Rome.<\/p>\n<p>The Dutch swimmer split 26.20\/27.41 to enjoy a clear victory with <strong>Freya Anderson<\/strong> second in 54.71 as the pair replicated their one-two finish in the 200 free and 17-year-old <strong>Roos Vanotterdijk<\/strong> third in 55.19.<\/p>\n<h3>Niewold Wins 100 After Second-50 Blast<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Tom Dean<\/strong> led the men&#8217;s 100 free prelims in 49.26 but he didn&#8217;t appear for the final with\u00a0<strong>Sean Niewold<\/strong> taking the win after coming from sixth at halfway to finish in 49.29 courtesy of a 25.05 second 50.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ed Mildred<\/strong> (49.45) and <strong>Renzo Tjon A Joe<\/strong> (49.59) completed the podium.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jonathon Adam<\/strong> added the men&#8217;s 100 back to the 50 he won on Friday as he led home a <strong>Bath Performance Centre<\/strong> clean sweep in 53.97.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Brodie Williams<\/strong> (54.63) &#8211; winner of the 200 back &#8211; and <strong>Cameron Brooker<\/strong> (55.02) were second and third respectively.<\/p>\n<div Becca Wyant<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong>Maaike De Waard<\/strong> took the women&#8217;s 100 back in 1:00.19 ahead of <strong>Kira Toussaint<\/strong> (1:00.35) and <strong>Lotte Hosper<\/strong> (1:01.84).<\/p>\n<p>Steenbergen led the prelims of the women&#8217;s 200IM in 2:11.52 but didn&#8217;t appear in the final which was won by <strong>Candice Hall<\/strong> in 2:16.18.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thomas Jansen<\/strong> completed the men&#8217;s medley double with victory over four lengths in 2:02.42.<\/p>\n<h3>Dorsman Continues Golden Form<\/h3>\n<p>In the para races,\u00a0<strong>Rogier Dorsman<\/strong> continued a fine meet that has so far brought a European record and two titles with two more.<\/p>\n<p>He started off by leading the way in the 200IM SM11 in 2:20.48 with <strong>Lisa Kruger<\/strong> &#8211; of the SM10 classification &#8211; doing the same in the women&#8217;s event in 2:30.45.<\/p>\n<p>The three-time Paralympic champion returned to head the 100 back S11 in 1:10.48.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gina Boettcher<\/strong> &#8211; who swims in the S4 events &#8211; headed the women&#8217;s 100 back in 1:51.62.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thomas van Wanrooij<\/strong> won the men&#8217;s 100 free S13 in 53.62 with <strong>Liesette Bruinsma<\/strong> &#8211; who swims in the S11 classification &#8211; leading the way in the women&#8217;s race in
