USA Swimming has announced a few changes to the 2022 FINA Short Course World Championships roster.<\/p>\n

Two swimmers have been added to the roster altogether with Trenton Julian<\/strong> being added in the 200 butterfly and Jake Magahey a<\/strong>dded to the roster in the 400 freestyle. It will be Magahey’s senior-level international debut.<\/p>\n

Several other swimmers will make changes to their lineups.<\/p>\n

Shaine Casas<\/strong> and Michael Andrew<\/strong> will represent the U.S. in the 100 IM. Because they were chosen for the event, Casas will drop the 50 butterfly from his lineup.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Leah Smith<\/strong> will add the 400 IM to her lineup and drop the 200 free.<\/p>\n

Other swimmers adding events includes Hali Flickinger<\/strong> adding the 200 free to her lineup, Kate Douglass<\/strong> adding the 200 IM to her schedule and Jillian Cox adding the 1500 free to her lineup.<\/p>\n

The 2022 FINA World Championships (25m) will take s place Dec. 13-18 at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre in Melbourne, Australia .<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The roster<\/a> features 16 Olympians , including Ryan Murphy<\/strong> (Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida\/California Aquatics), Torri Huske<\/strong> (Arlington, Virginia\/Stanford University), Andrew (Encinitas, California\/MA Swim Academy) , Flickinger (York, Pennsylvania\/Sun Devil Swimming), Nic Fink<\/strong> (Morristown, New Jersey\/Metro Atlantic Aquatic Club) and Rhyan White<\/strong> (Herriman, Utah\/University of Alabama\/WFFM), Douglass and Smith, among others.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Multiple reigning short course world champions will be representing the U.S. again, including Fink, White and Casas (McAllen, Texas\/Longhorn Aquatics). Last year\u2019s U.S. roster led the medal table with nine gold, nine silver and 12 bronze for 30 total medals.<\/p>\n

Making th eir senior \u2013 level debuts in a FINA international competition will be David Curtiss<\/strong> (Yardley, Pennsylvania\/NC State University), David Johnston<\/strong> (Dallas, Texas\/University of Texas), Jake Foster<\/strong> (Cincinnati, Ohio\/University of Texas\/Mason Manta Rays), Erin Gemmell<\/strong> (Potomac, Maryland\/Nation\u2019s Capital Swim Club) and Jillian Cox<\/strong> (Cedar Park, Texas\/University of Texas).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
