Margaret Hoelzer Makes Important Appearance On Inside with Brett Hawke Podcast<\/strong><\/p>\n

During her career as an elite backstroker, Margaret Hoelzer<\/strong> etched herself as a world-record holder, Olympic medalist, world champion and NCAA titlist. These days, Hoelzer is playing a critical role outside of the pool as a spokesperson for the National Children\u2019s Advocacy Center, an organization that helps protect children from sexual abuse.<\/p>\n

Hoelzer recently appeared as a guest on the Inside with Brett Hawke Podcast<\/strong>, where she discussed both her career as an athlete and her role with the National Children\u2019s Advocacy Center. Hoelzer was a victim of sexual abuse during her childhood, and has emerged as a leading advocate to raise awareness and prevent children from enduring similar experiences.<\/p>\n

As an athlete, Hoelzer was a member of elite teams at Auburn University, and she followed her vast collegiate success by winning three medals at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. At the 2007 World Championships in Melbourne, Hoelzer captured the gold medal in the 200 backstroke.
