The No. 20 ranked Bruins improved to 3-0 on the dual-meet season.<\/p>\n<p>UCLA started with 1-2 finishes in the first three events of the day at the Spieker Aquatics center and didn\u2019t look back. Bellio, a freshman, won the 1,000 freestyle in 10:03.46, with teammate <strong>Beril Bocekler<\/strong> following. (That duo would cap the meet by pulling the same trick in the 500 free).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/results\/arizona-at-ucla-women\/ncaa-college\/2022\/November\/4?rtn=%2Fresults%2F\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Meet Results<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/pac-12-swimming\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pac 12 Swimming<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Rachel Rhee<\/strong> and <strong>Brooke Schaffer<\/strong> followed with a 1-2 in the 200 free, Rhee winning in 1:50.06, then <strong>Sophia Kostruos<\/strong> and freshman <strong>Rosie Murphy<\/strong> took the top two places in the 100 backstroke.<\/p>\n<p>Jih-Schiff swept the breaststroke events, winning the 100 in 1:02.39 and the 200 in 2:13.55, the latter with teammate <strong>Paige Maceachern<\/strong> following. Maceachern was second in the 200 fly and won the 400 individual medley, with teammate <strong>Ashley Kolessar<\/strong> finishing in second.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Claire Grover<\/strong> won the 50 freestyle and was third in the 100 free, a spot behind Rhee. Kosturos, Jih-Schiff, <strong>Gabby Dang<\/strong> and Grover won the 200 medley relay for the Bruins.<\/p>\n<p>Arizona got its first win in the sixth event thanks to <strong>Julia Heimstead,<\/strong> who went 1:58.10 to win the 200 fly. She also finished second in the 100 fly behind teammate <strong>Maddy Burt,<\/strong> who also won the 100 free. Burt\u2019s split of 49.99 helped the Wildcats finish strong by claiming a tight race in the 400 free relay, joining Heimstead, <strong>Riley Botton<\/strong> (second in the 50 free) and <strong>Alyssa Schwengel<\/strong> on the winning foursome.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Delaney Schnell<\/strong> won both diving events for Arizona by decisive margins. She scored 314.93 on 1-meter and 370.95 on 3-meter.
