NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The University of Kentucky has picked up a new verbal commitment for the 2024-25 season and beyond from\u00a0Grayson Nye\u00a0<\/strong>of Apex, North Carolina.<\/p>\n

He will join Alex Gallagher <\/strong><\/a>and\u00a0Chase Swearingen<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>in Lexington as a member of the Wildcats\u2019 Class of 2028.<\/p>\n

He told\u00a0Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n

“I\u2019m so excited to continue my academic and athletic career at the University of Kentucky and become part of the Wildcats family! Thank you to all my teammates, coaches, friends, and family for supporting me through it all. Go Cats!”<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Nye does his club swimming with TAC Titans and most recently placed second in the 200m breast and sixth in the 100m breast at Cary Futures this past summer. Back in March, he raced to third in the 200 breast and fourth in the 100 breast at Cary Sectionals.<\/p>\n

He currently owns the North Carolina Swimming LSC record in the 200m breast at 2:15.53, which was set at Cary Futures.<\/p>\n
