The Buckeye women dominated Virginia Tech by a score of 231.5 to 121.5, while the Ohio State men won a much closer dual meet, 187.5 to 165.5.<\/p>\n<p>Ohio State&#8217;s women began Saturday&#8217;s competition with an easy win in the 200 medley relay.\u00a0<strong>Nyah Funderburke<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Josie Panitz<\/strong>, <strong>Katherine Zenick<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Amy Fulmer<\/strong> came in at 1:39.21. Next up,\u00a0<strong>Felicity Pasadyn<\/strong> cruised to a 7.67-second win in the 400 IM in 4:17.10, and she led a\u00a01-2-3-4 finish for the Buckeyes. Fulmer took first in the 200 freestyle (1:47.55), and <strong>Tristan Harrison<\/strong> touched out teammate\u00a0<strong>Morgan Kraus<\/strong> 54.54 to 54.58 to win the 100 butterfly, with <strong>Aislinn Walsh<\/strong> close behind (54.68) for 1-2-3 finish for OSU. Panitz went 2:14.98 for an easy win in the 200 breaststroke, and\u00a0<strong>Maya Geringer<\/strong> won the 1000 free (10:08.54).<\/p>\n<p>Virginia Tech made a run late in the meet as\u00a0<strong>Emma Atkinson<\/strong> won the 100 back (53.89), and\u00a0<strong>Madelyn Moore<\/strong> won the 50 free in 23.03, touching out Zenick (23.04) and\u00a0<strong>Teresa Ivan\u00a0<\/strong>(23.11).\u00a0<strong>Izzy Mroz<\/strong> won 1-meter diving (318.00). The women&#8217;s meet concluded with\u00a0<strong>Fanni Gyurinovics<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Carmen Weiler Sastre<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Emily Claesson<\/strong> and Atkinson scoring a 400 free relay win in 3:18.32.<\/p>\n<p>The men&#8217;s meet started off with Ohio State claiming first place in the 200 medley relay in 1:27.30 behind<strong> Alex Quach<\/strong>, <strong>Karl Helmuth<\/strong>, <strong>James Ward<\/strong> and <strong>Ruslan Gasiev<\/strong>. Gasiev then tied with Virginia Tech&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Luis Dominguez Calonge<\/strong> to win the 200 free in 1:37.22. Ohio State&#8217;s next win came by virtue of\u00a0<strong>Thomas Watkins<\/strong> in the 100 back (47.68), and World Championships team member\u00a0<strong>Charlie Clark\u00a0<\/strong>won the 1000 free in 9:02.58, and teammates\u00a0<strong>Fabio Dalu<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Alex Axon<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Jonathan Edwards\u00a0<\/strong>made it a 1-2-3-4 finish for the Buckeyes after the Hokies had built some momentum.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jack Matthews<\/strong> took the win in 1-meter diving (380.63), and the team of Quach, Ward.\u00a0<strong>Shaw Satterfield\u00a0<\/strong>and Gasiev concluded the meet by winning the 400 free relay. Gasiev came from behind to pass Virginia Tech&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>William Koeppen<\/strong> and claim the win, 2:52.84 to 2:53.29.<\/p>\n<p>The strong performance by the Hokies to keep the meet began with\u00a0<strong>Keith Myburgh<\/strong> winning the 400 IM in 3:55.47 and teammate\u00a0<strong>Nico Harris\u00a0<\/strong>taking second, and after Dominguez Calonge tied with Gasiev in the 200 free, <strong>Youssef Ramadan<\/strong> blasted a 46.21 to win the 100 fly.\u00a0<strong>Carles Coll Marti<\/strong> won the 200 breast in 1:56.38 with teammates\u00a0<strong>AJ Pouch<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Joseph Hong<\/strong> taking second and third, respectively. Ramadan won again in the 50 free with a time of 19.78, but the Hokies could not hold off Ohio State&#8217;s late surge in the final three events.<\/p>\n<p><a
