After the first two days of competition offered a world record and several national marks, Day Three provided much of the same. Among the leading performances was the 51.78 Chinese standard in the women&#8217;s 100-meter freestyle by <strong>Yang Junxuan<\/strong>. A staple for China in international action, Yang edged out <strong>Cheng Yujie<\/strong> (52.57) and <strong>Li Bingjie<\/strong> (52.65).<\/p>\n<p>Li was back on the blocks later in the session, winning the 800 freestyle in the sixth-fastest time in history. Having set the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/chinas-li-bingjie-shatters-short-course-world-record-in-400-free\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">world record in the 400 freestyle<\/a> on Thursday, Li clocked 8:02.09 to triumph over 32 laps. On the men&#8217;s side, the event featured a national record by <strong>Fen Liwei<\/strong> (7:37.74).<\/p>\n<p>An Asian record of 29.19 went to <strong>Tang Qianting<\/strong> in the women&#8217;s 50 breaststroke, as she prevailed by more than a second. Meanwhile, multiple Olympic medalist <strong>Zhang Yufei<\/strong> registered a victory in the women&#8217;s 100 butterfly, covering the distance in 55.46. Gold in the men&#8217;s 400 individual medley was earned by <strong>Huang Zhiwei<\/strong> in 4:06.68 and rising butterfly star <strong>Chen Juner<\/strong> was the winner of the 50 fly in 22.72.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Peng Xuwei<\/strong> went 2:03.07 to capture the women&#8217;s 200 backstroke and the men&#8217;s 100 backstroke was won by <strong>Wang Gukailai<\/strong> in 51.98. Other victors included <strong>Yu Yiting<\/strong> in the women&#8217;s 200 IM (2:06.05), <strong>Pan Zhanle<\/strong> in the men&#8217;s 200 freestyle (1:42.66) and <strong>Qin<\/strong> <strong>Haiyang<\/strong> in the men&#8217;s 200 breaststroke (2:03.08).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Chinese Championships Again Highlighted By Several National Records;
