In an anticipated showdown, she was five seconds <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/summer-mcintosh-to-face-latest-grueling-test-at-fina-world-cup-in-toronto\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ahead of Canada\u2019s <strong>Summer McIntosh<\/strong><\/a> (4:01.11) and six ahead of Hong Kong\u2019s <strong>Siobhan Haughey<\/strong> (4:02.68) in the heats. The finals will likely be closer and faster, but Ledecky looks strong with that morning performance.<\/p>\n<p>In the women\u2019s 50 freestyle, <strong>Kasia Wasick<\/strong> took the top seed in 23.75, just ahead of Canada\u2019s <strong>Maggie MacNeil<\/strong> (23.95) and <strong>Australia\u2019s Madison Wilson<\/strong> (23.98).
