Li\u2019s time made her the fifth fastest performer in history in the short-course event behind Hong Kong\u2019s <strong>Siobhan Haughey<\/strong> (1:50.31), Sweden\u2019s<strong> Sarah Sjostrom (<\/strong>1:50.43), Italy\u2019s <strong>Federica<\/strong> <strong>Pellegrini<\/strong> (1:51.17) and Hungary\u2019s<strong> Katinka Hosszu<\/strong> (1:51.18).<\/p>\n<p>In the men\u2019s 200 butterfly, <strong>Chen Juner w<\/strong>on in 1:49.61 to break the Chinese national record and world junior record, holding off<strong> Xu Fang<\/strong> (1:52.52).\u00a0 The 18-year-old broke the mark set by <strong>Eddie Wang<\/strong> (1:49.89) during the 2020 International Swimming League (ISL) season.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, <strong>Tang Qianting<\/strong> won the women\u2019s 100 breaststroke in 1:03.15, breaking the Chinese national record and Asian continental record in the process. She held off <strong>Yang Chang<\/strong> (1:05.18) in the event. Her first 50 split of 29.65 also broke the 50 breast national record.<\/p>\n<p>In the men\u2019s 200 IM, <strong>Qin Haiyang<\/strong> won the race in 1:54.51 to finish ahead of<strong> Tao Guannan<\/strong> (1:55.88). Qin went on to win the 50 breaststroke as well, breaking the Chinese national record with a swim of 26.12, holing off<strong> Yan Zibei<\/strong> (26.16). In the men\u2019s 1500 free, Fei Liwei won in 14:35.50 to hold off Tang Haoyang (15:31.98).<\/p>\n<p>In the women\u2019s 400 IM, <strong>Yu Yiting<\/strong> won in 4:29.72, ahead of <strong>Ge Chutong<\/strong> (4:31.10).<\/p>\n<p>In the men\u2019s 50 back, <strong>Wang Gukailai<\/strong> touched the wall in 23.65, ahead of<strong> Lin Tao<\/strong> (24.07).<\/p>\n<p>In the women\u2019s 100 backstroke, <strong>Peng Xuwei<\/strong> won in 57.01, finishing ahead of<strong> Wan Letian<\/strong> (57.05) in an extremely close race.<\/p>\n<p>In the women\u2019s 100 butterfly<strong>, Zhang Yufei<\/strong> won in 25.22 ahead o<strong>f Wang Wichun<\/strong> (25.46).<\/p>\n<p>In the men\u2019s 100 fre<strong>e, Pan Zhanle<\/strong> won in 46.27, ahead of <strong>He Junyi<\/strong> (46.77) and <strong>Wang Haoui<\/strong> (46.78).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>One day after breaking the world record in the 400 freestyle, China\u2019s Li Bingjie was on the podium again at the 2022 Chinese National Championships.
