Magahey, the 2022 NCAA runnerup in the 500 freestyle and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/2022-u-s-nationals-jake-magahey-holds-off-olympic-trio-in-mens-400-freestyle-finals\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the U.S. Nationals winner in the 400-meter free<\/a>, turned in wins in the 200 free (1:35.68) and 500 free (4:22.98) against Florida State, and the Bulldog men claimed six other individual wins.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kristian Pitshugin\u00a0<\/strong>took first in the 100 breaststroke in 53.58, and fifth-year swimmer\u00a0<strong>Andrew Abruzzo<\/strong> crushed the field in the 200 butterfly (1:45.78).\u00a0<strong>Dillon Downing\u00a0<\/strong>swam a mark of 19.84 to win the 50 free, and\u00a0<strong>Ian Grum<\/strong> went 1:44.71 to take the 200 backstroke. The last two wins came courtesy of\u00a0<strong>Wesley Ng\u00a0<\/strong>in the 100 fly (47.61) and\u00a0<strong>Zach Hils<\/strong> in the 200 IM (1:47.38), while\u00a0<strong>Kevin Li<\/strong> won 3-meter diving (335.55). Georgia&#8217;s men also took first in the 200 medley relay (1:25.94) and 400 free relay (2:56.94).<\/p>\n<p>The Seminoles started strong as\u00a0<strong>Yordan Yanchev<\/strong> finished five seconds ahead of Abruzzo in the 1000 free in a time of 9:11.56, and\u00a0<strong>Mason Herbet<\/strong> took the 100 back (46.90).\u00a0<strong>Peter Varjasi<\/strong> won the 100 free for FSU (43.60), while\u00a0<strong>Tommaso Baravelli<\/strong> edged out Georgia veteran\u00a0<strong>Luca Urlando<\/strong> in the 200 breast, 2:00.17 to 2:00.19. In 1-meter diving,\u00a0<strong>Darwin Nolasco<\/strong> placed first for Florida State (294.30).<\/p>\n<p>In the <a href=\"https:\/\/georgiadogs.com\/sports\/wsd\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Georgia women&#8217;s<\/a> victory, three different swimmers won multiple individual races. Veteran\u00a0<strong>Zoie Hartman<\/strong> won the 100 breast (1:01.14) and 200 IM (1;59.81), and <strong>Jillian Barcyzk<\/strong> won the 1000 free (10:03.75) and 500 free (4:54.64). Backstroker\u00a0<strong>Marie Schobel<\/strong> finished first in the 100 (54.12) and 200-yard (1:55.26) races.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Callie Dickinson<\/strong> took first in the 200 free (1:50.31), and\u00a0<strong>Julianna Stephens<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Sloane Reinstein<\/strong> won one sprint freestyle race each, with Stephens taking the 50 (23.24) and Reinstein touching first in the 100 (50.34).\u00a0<strong>Olivia Della Torre<\/strong> won the 100 fly (54.98), and\u00a0<strong>Meghan Wenzel<\/strong> won 3-meter diving (309.30).
