But Grimm is now leaving the sport. He confirmed his decision in an Instagram post.<\/p>\n<p>Grimm wrote, &#8220;I\u2019m going to really miss swimming. I\u2019m going to cherish the relationships made, memories created, and lessons learned so close to my heart.&#8221; After that, he went on to thank the various teams he had swum for throughout his swimming career, including Texas.<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/Cj_gVK5vJng\/<\/p>\n<p>Accordingly, Grimm <a href=\"https:\/\/texassports.com\/sports\/mens-swimming-and-diving\/roster\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">is no longer listed on the Longhorns&#8217; roster<\/a>. The Fairfax, Va., native arrived in Austin as one of the top high school swimmers in the country. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/texas-longhorns-land-huge-verbal-commitment-from-anthony-grimm-for-2021\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">He committed to Texas in October 2019<\/a> (during his junior year of high school) after swimming some of the top high school times nationally across all four strokes.
