USC\u2019s <strong>Artem Selin<\/strong> got the win in 19.70 seconds, .01 ahead of <strong>Kalle Makinen<\/strong> of Auburn. Third was Auburn\u2019s <strong>Logan Tirheimer,<\/strong> who also got under 20 seconds at 19.91.<\/p>\n<p>Auburn and USC, the two big participants out of four schools, traded blows all day on the men\u2019s side. Auburn scored a 1-2-3 finish in the 500 free, led by <strong>Mason Mathias\u2019<\/strong> time of 4:18.73. <strong>Michael Bonson<\/strong> and <strong>Mikkel Gadgaard<\/strong> followed him to the wall.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/results\/2022-usc-invitational-day-1-day-1\/ncaa-college\/2022\/October\/14?rtn=%2Fresults%2F\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">USC Invitational Meet Results<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/sec-swimming\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SEC Swimming<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/pac-12-swimming\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pac-12 Swimming<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>USC countered by sweeping the 200 individual medley podium. <strong>Chris O\u2019Grady<\/strong> led the way in 1:45.85, with <strong>Harry Homans<\/strong> and <strong>Henry Blaul<\/strong> following.<\/p>\n<p>Auburn started with a win in the 400 medley relay, the squad of <strong>Nathaniel Stoffle, Reid Mikuta, Aidan Stoffle<\/strong> and Makinen going 3:07.26. Makinen brought it home in 42.54. Nathaniel Stoffle won the 100 back in 46.67, three tenths up on teammate <strong>Lleyton Smith.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The women\u2019s meet started with a decisive win by the Trojans\u2019 400 medley relay. The foursome of <strong>Hanna Henderson, Kaitlyn Dobler, Anicka Delgado<\/strong> and <strong>Elise Garcia<\/strong> went 3:31.91. Dobler won the 50 free to cap the session in 22.30, .12 ahead of third-place Delgado. In between was Auburn\u2019s <strong>Lexie Mulvihill<\/strong> in 22.36.<\/p>\n<p>The women\u2019s race of the day came in the 500 free. <strong>Justina Kozan<\/strong> used a furious final 50 to win in 4:41.09.
