Kieren Perkins<\/strong>\u00a0remains one of\u00a0Australia\u2019s greatest Olympic swimmers<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 a two time gold medallist in the 1500m freestyle in 1992 and 1996 \u2013 and now he is a major player in guiding Australian sport towards its third Olympics in his hometown, Brisbane in 2032.<\/p>\n

FINA president\u00a0Husain Al-Musallam<\/strong>\u00a0has been proposed as a candidate to become the head of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) if the current head\u2019s fraud conviction remains in place.<\/p>\n

Al-Musallam was put forward as a candidate this week at a meeting of the OCA\u2019s general assembly,\u00a0reports Inside The Games<\/a>.
