NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The Class of 2024 verbal commitments are continuing to trickle in, with the University of California, Berkeley receiving the latest pledge from Carter Lancaster<\/strong>, one of the top recruits in his grade.<\/p>\n

He’ll arrive on campus as a member of the Golden Bears’ Class of 2028.<\/p>\n

Regarding his commitment, he said:<\/p>\n

“I am honored to announce that I will be committing to the University of California Berkeley to continue my academic and swimming career. I would like to thank God, my family, all of my coaches and teammates for helping me on this journey. I would also like to thank the Cal coaches for giving me this amazing opportunity. Go Bears\u00a0\"?\"“<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Lancaster now swims for Bolles School Sharks having previously competed for Carmel Swim Club, two of the premier club teams in the country. He most recently placed fourth in the 200m IM and fifth in the 100m back at Cary Futures this past summer. Back in December, he raced to 12th in the 200 IM and 17th in the 400 IM at Juniors East.<\/p>\n

His best 200 IM time of\u00a0 1:46.91 ranked fifth all-time for 15 year old boys, while his best 100m back time of 56.87 ranks 20th in that age group.<\/p>\n
