\nBlake Pieroni, a three-time Olympic gold medalist and a valuable member in the American relay depth, announced his retirement recently via social media. He also won eight golds and 12 total medals at the World Championships (short course and long course). The 26-year-old standout at Indiana University has been battling knee injuries the last year, and he recently had knee surgery.<\/p>\n

023<\/span> BROOKS FAIL JOINS USC AS ASSISTANT COACH TO ROUND OUT LEA MAURER\u2019S STAFF<\/span><\/strong>

\nBrooks Fail was hired recently as an assistant coach at USC, the final hire for Lea Maurer in her first staff as full-time head coach of the Trojans. Fail is fresh off his NCAA swimming career, an 11-time All-American at the University of Arizona, where he was the school record holder in the 1650 freestyle and 400 individual medley.<\/p>\n
