A mixture of long-course and short-course racing around the globe will dot the calendar from September through December. Here is a look at some of the bigger meets scheduled before we welcome 2023.<\/p>\n<p>The most-significant meet still remaining in 2022 is the World Short Course Championships, which will be held from Dec. 13-18 in Melbourne. It will be the first global champs held in Australia since the 2007 World Championships took place in Melbourne. The meet was initially scheduled to be held in Kazan, but with Russia invading the Ukraine, the meet was shifted to the Southern Hemisphere.<\/p>\n<p>Late October into early November will be highlughted by the FINA World Cup Series. While Berlin (Oct. 21-23) has been a regular stop through the years, the circuit moves to North America this year with stops in Toronto (Oct. 28-30) and Indianapolis (Nov. 3-5). The decision by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fina.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FINA<\/a> to bring its series to Canada and the United States should prompt some of the premier athletes from those countries to race. In the past, only a select group of Americans would make trips to Europe and Asia for World Cup action.<\/p>\n<p>In the United States, the U.S. Open will be contested in Greensboro from Nov. 30-Dec. 3 and annually attracts a quality field. Meanwhile, many of the USA&#8217;s rising stars will race at the Winter Junior Nationals from Dec. 7-10, with several sites being used across the country.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Meets to Watch (Remainder of
