Williamson put together a performance of 2:00.90 to finish ahead of the Japanese duo of <strong>Tomoyuki Matsushita<\/strong> (2:01.01) and <strong>Yuta Watanabe<\/strong> (2:02.47).<\/p>\n<p>In addition to chasing the gold medal, Williamson will try to break the two-minute barrier for the first time in his career during the championship heat. A native of Texas, Williamson is a little more than a second off the National Age Group record (15-16), which is held by <strong>Carson Foster<\/strong> at 1:59.45. Earlier in the meet, Williamson was the silver medalist in the 400 individual medley, where he clocked in at 4:17.58.<\/p>\n<p>Already the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/junior-pan-pacs-day-2-finals-flynn-southam-outduels-thomas-heilman-in-100-free\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">winner of the 400 individual medley<\/a>, Japan&#8217;s <strong>Mio Narita<\/strong> is a swim away from completing the medley double. Narita, who is scheduled to race at next week&#8217;s World Junior Championships, earned the top seed for the final of the 200 IM behind a prelim effort of 2:13.59. That mark was more than a second ahead of the 2:14.57 by Canadian <strong>Ashley McMillan<\/strong>, who was followed in third by American <strong>Gracie Weyant<\/strong> (2:15.53).<\/p>\n<p>In the women&#8217;s 50 freestyle, Australia&#8217;s <strong>Milla Jansen<\/strong> was quickest in the morning, going 25.39. But she&#8217;ll have American star <strong>Erin<\/strong> <strong>Gemmell<\/strong> to hold off at night, along with the United States&#8217; <strong>Anna Moesch<\/strong>. Gemmell has won the 100 freestyle, 200 freestyle and 400 freestyle and was timed in 25.42, with Moesch next at 25.50. Aussie <strong>Hannah Casey<\/strong> touched in 25.56.<\/p>\n<p>On the men&#8217;s side, Americans <strong>Diggory Dillingham<\/strong> (22.69) and <strong>Kaii Winkler<\/strong> (22.74) qualified first and second in the 50 free, with Australian <strong>Flynn Southam<\/strong> clocking 22.75 for the No. 3 seed. Southam earlier won gold medals in the 100 freestyle and 200 freestyle.<\/p>\n<p>Japan&#8217;s <strong>Kotomi Kato<\/strong> went 2:28.35 for the fastest time in the women&#8217;s 200 breaststroke, followed by Team USA&#8217;s <strong>Piper Enge<\/strong> (2:28.65). For the men, Japan&#8217;s <strong>Yamato Okadome<\/strong> (2:13.77) and Singapore&#8217;s <strong>Nicholas Mahabir<\/strong> (2:13.86) were the top qualifiers in the 200
