In addition to an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/thomas-heilman-shatters-nag-record-15-16-of-caeleb-dressel-in-100-freestyle\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NAG (15-16) record from the United States\u2019 <strong>Thomas Heilman<\/strong><\/a> in the 100-meter freestyle, <strong>Erin<\/strong> <strong>Gemmell<\/strong> shined in the women\u2019s version of the event and Japan\u2019s <strong>Ei Kamikawabata<\/strong> was superb in the 400 individual medley.<\/p>\n<p>One night after winning the 200 freestyle, Gemmell positioned herself for a run at the title in the 100 free. The University of Texas recruit registered a meet-record time of 54.42, to lead Australia\u2019s <strong>Milla Jansen<\/strong> (54.53). In the next event, Heilman clocked 49.06 in the 100 freestyle to break <strong>Caeleb Dressel\u2019s<\/strong> 2013 NAG record of 49.28. In the final, Heilman and Australian rising star <strong>Flynn Southam<\/strong> will duel for the gold medal.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.swmeets.com\/Realtime\/Jr%20PanPacs\/2022\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Meet Results<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Kamikawabata is providing Japan with promise in the medley events beyond the days of <strong>Kosuke Hagino<\/strong> and <strong>Daiya Seto<\/strong>. The youngster topped qualifying in the 400 IM behind a time of 4:14.95. His compatriot, <strong>Mio Narita<\/strong>, earned the No. 1 seed in the women\u2019s 400 medley, on the strength of a swim of 4:42.33.<\/p>\n<p>The top seeds for the finals of the 100 breaststroke events were claimed by Team USA\u2019s <strong>Piper Enge<\/strong> (1:08.38) and Japan\u2019s <strong>Yamato<\/strong> <strong>Okadome<\/strong> (1:00.70).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Junior Pan Pacs &#8211;
