March 14. SWEDEN'S Emma Igelstrom picked up where she left off last year by racing to a European record in the women's 200m breaststroke today at the Swedish Short Course Championships.<\/p>\n
Igelstrom clocked 2:19.64 — the second fastest 200 meter breaststroke in history, trailing only China's Qi Hui.<\/p>\n

Camilla Johansson, who also swims for the Sun Devils Masters in Arizona, won a decisive victory in the women's 100m backstroke with a time of 1:01.50, exactly one second ahead of Martina Svensson.<\/p>\n
In the 100m fly, Anna-Karin Kammerling led a trio of Swedes to the wall in under a minute, as szhe recorded a 58.61. Lena Hallander was second in 59.43 while Linda Knutsson placed third in 59.86.<\/p>\n
Veteran Josefin Lillhage won a 4-second vioctory in the 400m freestyle, clocking 4:12.69.<\/p>\n
World record-holder Therese Alshammar sprinted to victory in the 50 free in a strong 24.49. Kammerling finished second in 24.98 while Lillhage demonstrated her versatility by taking third in 25.41.<\/p>\n
On the men's side, Martin Gustavsson set a meet record in winning ther 100m breast in 59.42. Patrik Isaksson was second in 1:00.68, while Joakim Nielsen, 18, set a national junior mark of 1:01.06 in finishing third.<\/p>\n
Stefan Nystrand set another meet record as he took the 100m free in 47.90 after splitting 22.51 at the 50. Lars Frolander was second in 48.13.<\/p>\n
Former Cal swimmer Mattias Ohlin set a Swedish naional record with his 1:57.64 winning effort in the 200m backstroke.<\/p>\n
