But looking back now everything happens for a reason.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI said to him: when you look back at it, this meet isn\u2019t a fast meet, it just isn\u2019t. The times aren\u2019t that quick, they just aren\u2019t.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Guy was speaking after progressing from the 100 fly heats in 52.49 with Canadian <strong>Josh Liendo<\/strong> the only man inside 52secs in 51.36.<\/p>\n<p>That follows his bronze in the 200 fly of which Guy said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cIt was nice to be on the podium, at a home Games \u2013 probably my last Commonwealth Games \u2013 so it was good to get on the podium with the boys.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cI had my girlfriend and my brother there as well and the crowd were fantastic.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>He&#8217;ll join an expected Team England line-up of <strong>Tom Dean, Jacob Whittle<\/strong> and <strong>Joe Litchfield<\/strong> for the 4x200m freestyle relay on Monday evening, an event which has brought much global success in recent years.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cIt is a belting squad. It\u2019s going to be a tough race tonight but I think we\u2019ll definitely get on the podium but what colour we don\u2019t really know yet.
