Also in April, Titmus <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/ariarne-titmus-attacks-world-record-en-route-to-no-3-in-history-in-200-freestyle-at-australian-championships\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">again scared\u00a0<strong>Federica Pellegrini&#8217;s<\/strong> 13-year-old standard in the 200 free<\/a>, and she will have a chance to lower both records at next week&#8217;s Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England.<\/p>\n<p>Titmus skipped last month&#8217;s World Championships to concentrate on the Commonwealth Games, but after Worlds concluded, she joined her Australian teammates in Europe for an extended training camp. In a video provided by Swimming Australia, Titmus called <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/australias-ariarne-titmus-terminates-the-400m-freestyle-world-record-in-adelaide-clocking-356-40\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">her 400 free world record<\/a> &#8220;one of the best 400s I have swum,&#8221; and although she contracted COVID-19 shortly after Trials, Titmus said, &#8220;I\u2019m just trying to get myself feeling back to myself, and I feel like that now, and I\u2019m really excited to race at Comm Games.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>On her preparation since arriving in Europe, Titmus said, &#8220;I think I\u2019ve got some really good work in. I\u2019ve made some shifts, and I\u2019m feeling really good for Comm Games. I think I\u2019ve improved in some areas since Trials.
