The \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.rrauction.com\/search\/results\/?navsearch=true&amp;str=Ryan+Lochte&amp;cp=current-auctions\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ryan Lochte Collection<\/a>\u201d first went up for bid on June 24, and the 12-time Olympic medalist plans to donate the proceeds to charity. When the auction closed in the early evening, the five Lochte lots commanded more than $150,000 combined.<\/p>\n<p>Here is a look at the bids for the various lots.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The winning bid for Lochte\u2019s first Olympic medal, the silver he won in the 200-meter individual medley at the 2004 Games in Athens, was $16,806.<\/li>\n<li>The top bid for two of Lochte\u2019s bronze medals from the 2008 Olympic Games was $71,538. The medals were earned through third-place finishes in the 200 individual medley and 400 individual medley.<\/li>\n<li>The highest bid for the third lot, which featured three Lochte Olympic medals, was $45,078. The medals in this lot included Lochte\u2019s silver medal from the 200 IM, silver medal from the 400 freestyle relay and bronze medal from the 200 backstroke at the 2012 Olympics in London.<\/li>\n<li>The winning bid for Lochte\u2019s 14K white gold Olympic ring was $5,454.<\/li>\n<li>The top bid for Lochte\u2019s Breitling watch is $12,914.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Proceeds of the sale will benefit the Jorge Nation Foundation, a charity in South Florida that raises money to send children with terminal illnesses and their families on a dream destination trip. Lochte has worked with the foundation for the last decade.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis year I really wanted to focus on giving back. I\u2019m loving it,\u201d Lochte told the Associated Press when news of the auction spread. \u201cI\u2019ve been teaming with my dad doing swim clinics and I\u2019m coming out with my own sunscreen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lochte&#8217;s career total of 12 Olympic medals ranks him second all-time among American athletes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At End of Auction, Olympic Medals of Ryan Lochte Command Rich Bids;
