Thirteen athletes have already been selected for the competition, with Olympic champions <strong>Emma McKeon<\/strong> and <strong>Kaylee McKeown<\/strong> headlining the initial picks.<\/p>\n<p>McKeon and McKeown powered Australia at the recent Commonwealth Games and will keep their summers active when they lead the Dolphins at the Duel in the Pool. The meet is scheduled for August 19-21 at the Sydney Aquatic Centre, which was the site of the 2000 Olympic Games. Last summer, McKeon collected seven medals at the Olympics in Tokyo, including solo triumphs in the 50 freestyle and 200 freestyle. McKeown, meanwhile, exited Tokyo as the gold medalist in both backstroke events.<\/p>\n<p>World-record holder <strong>Zac Stubblety-Cook<\/strong>, who won the Olympic title in the 200 breaststroke last year and recently won a world title in the event, is the premier name among the first men chosen for the team. He\u2019ll be joined by longtime distance ace <strong>Mack Horton<\/strong> and <strong>Brendon Smith<\/strong>, an individual medley standout.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/duel-in-the-pool-roster-chase-kalisz-michael-andrew-annie-lazor-bella-sims-lead-usa\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">United States announced its full squad<\/a> for the Duel in the Pool.
