With entries not due to USA Swimming until next Tuesday (July 19), it remains to be seen which headliners from Team USA will be in action in Southern California, but at least one world champ is slated to compete.<\/p>\n<p>At last month\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/world-championships-katie-ledecky-wins-800-free-first-to-win-5-straight-world-titles\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">World Championships in Budapest<\/a>, where she won the 400 freestyle, 800 free and 1500 free in impressive fashion, future Hall of Famer <strong>Katie Ledecky<\/strong> indicated plans to race at Nationals. The 25-year-old said she intended to compete in a handful of \u201coff\u201d events, which notably means a run at the 400 individual medley.<\/p>\n<p>Because the World Champs served as the United States\u2019 primary meet of the summer, a number of Team USA members will be absent from Nationals. Yet, several athletes who competed at Worlds in only relay action or had limited programs are expected to race. Those names will be released by USA Swimming once the entry process is completed.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cityofirvine.org\/aquatics-centers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Woollett Aquatic Center<\/a> is regarded as one of the premier facilities in the country and has previously served as host for several editions of Nationals and hosted the 2010 Pan Pacific Championships.<\/p>\n<p>Here is the schedule for Nationals:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tuesday, July 26<\/strong><br \/>\n200 Butterfly<br \/>\n100 Freestyle<br \/>\n800 Freestyle (W)<br \/>\n1500 Freestyle (M)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wednesday, July 27<\/strong><br \/>\n200 Freestyle<br \/>\n200 Breaststroke<br \/>\n200 Backstroke<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday, July 28<\/strong><br \/>\n400 Individual Medley<br \/>\n100 Butterfly<\/p>\n<p><strong>Friday, July 29<\/strong><br \/>\n400 Freestyle<br \/>\n100 Breaststroke<br \/>\n100 Backstroke<\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday, July 30<\/strong><br \/>\n1500 Freestyle (W)<br \/>\n200 Individual Medley<br \/>\n800 Freestyle (M)<br \/>\n50 Freestyle<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Coming Off Stellar World Champs, Katie Ledecky Expected to Compete at Nationals in &#8216;Off&#8217;
