New Notre Dame swimming and diving coach Chris Lindauer<\/strong> has hired Trevor Carroll<\/strong> as an assistant to complete his first staff.<\/p>\n

Carroll swam for Lindauer at Louisville, then spent four seasons at the University of Pittsburgh as an assistant coach. Carroll is a native of Granger, Ind.<\/p>\n

Carroll was a 14-time All-American at Louisville, bridging the Cardinals\u2019 eras from the American Athletic Conference to the Atlantic Coast Conference from 2013-17. A five-time Indiana Senior State Champion, the freestyler was a regular at NCAAs as part of Louisville relays.<\/p>\n

Carroll began his coaching career as a volunteer assistant at Louisville under Arthur Albiero<\/strong> in 2017-18 (with Lindauer on staff). He was hired by Pitt<\/a> and spent four seasons there, helping Pitt\u2019s men\u2019s team post its first top-five ACC relay finishes in program history and sending two swimmers to NCAAs for the first time since 2002. He helped mentor Blaise Vera<\/strong> and Cooper van der Laan.<\/strong><\/p>\n
