NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The University of Tennessee has picked up a new verbal commitment for the fall of 2023 from Hamilton, New Zealand native\u00a0Laura Littlejohn<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

She will join Molly Blanchard<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Tori Brostowitz<\/strong><\/a>, Camille Spink<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Sophie Brison<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>as a member of the Lady Vols\u2019 Class of 2027.<\/p>\n

Regarding her commitment, she said:<\/p>\n

\u201cI chose Tennessee because of their creative and fun coaching environment, their awesome support for international athletes and their programs that help athletes develop beyond the swimming pool. I feel so grateful to get the opportunity to work with Coach Matt and this amazing team.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Littlejohn is the current New Zealand national age group record holder in the 50m free, 100m free, 100m IM, 200m IM and 50m fly.<\/p>\n

She won the 50m free and 100m free at the New Zealand Championships in April. Back in December, she placed 18th in the 100 free, 20th in the 100 IM and 24th in the 50 free at the 15th FINA World Short Course Championships. She does her club swimming with Saint Paul’s Swimming Club and attends St. Paul’s Collegiate School.<\/p>\n
